"I called 2 electricians from Angie's list regarding work on our home sensor backyard lighting.  One did not return my call, but Bruce of 5Star Electric, returned my weekend call early the next Monday morning and left a message indicating he wasn't taking any new work because he was going on a vacation soon.  He apologized for not being available but left his number if I wanted to talk with him.  I decided to call him back to get another referral from him.  When we talked I told him the specific problems with the lighting and he said it didn't sound that involved and he would fit me in for the following Friday.  Tuesday morning I received a call from Bruce and he said he was in our area and had a delay, waiting on some framers to finish work before he could do an installation.  He asked if I would be available later that afternoon and we set up the time.  Bruce was prompt, both he and Hestin were professional, listened and communicated well, focused on the work at hand and immediately  involved themselves in resolving my lighting problem.  Initially, I thought his fee was high, but when I saw their work ethic in action, overall professionalism, I was fine with their charge.  Incidentally, I live in Morro Bay and have learned the hard way not to hire a skilled tradesperson that arrives with a surfboard or fishing rod hanging out their truck.   On several occasions I did not get a full days work out of those people.  Bruce had a clean organized truck with none of the aforementioned distractions.  He will be my resource for future electrical needs and I recommend him without any reservation.

"I removed everything in kitchen and bathrooms for them to clean, but they didn't do a better job than I do( I am not a good cleaner). My husband came home didn't realize that we hired professional to clean the bathrooms.
The ladies didn't say/ask for anything before cleaning my granite countertop, but blamed me not having professional granite cleaner so that they cannot clean it thoroughly. They only cleaned the window from inside the house so they looked as dirty as they were before. When we communicated at the first place, what said was if they had time, they could clean some windows, which were not my priority. I would rather they forcus on the quality of the work instead of quantity.   
I hired professional housecleaners before many times, my expection is very reasonable. I just so disappointed. There is a lot of improvements need to be done.

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

The day he was scheduled to come to install he called me to explain he had made a mistake on his estimate and wanted to talk with me first because he said he would not just come to do the work then tell me, this was for $20.00! that impressed me a lot. He was so careful of my home protecting the area he worked in he did a quality job! He was efficient an organized."
