"Carpets are clean & drying time was only 1 day. Troy from Service Pro was on time, knowledgeable, and very personable. Only issue was cost was more than “guesstimate” phone quote. Said some rooms were oversized, & had to pay extra. This has never been an issue with other cleaners, but then they didn’t do as good of a cleaning as Service Pro. Guess you get what you pay for; I would call them again."

"I just purchased a new home in Georgia. The carpets needed to be deep cleaned, sanitized and deodorized. Carpet Transformers did a fabulous job on my carpets. They looked brand new and there was no order left from the previous owners. I was handling this whole transaction remotely as I was in another state. The whole process was smooth, They were professional, on-time, responsive and very easy to work with. I would highly recommend them."

"Hackney Carpet was recommended to us by our realtor.  We met both Jeff and Donna, who were personable and professional.  Requested a quote for removing our 1974 glued-down carpet in our basement and on stairs leading to basement.  Jeff brought samples to our house, and recommended a few carpets, based on our color and texture desires, as well as the fact that our basement is damp.  He gave us an estimate on the spot.  We felt like the price was good, so we paid a 25% downpayment.  We scheduled installation for 8 days later.  Juan was the lead installer (3 installers, total).  The team was prompt, polite, professional, and fast! They finished the job in about 4 hours, and we paid the balance due.  We are so happy with the look and feel of our new carpet.  We highly recommended Hackney Carpet. <br />"

"I called to have some carpet replaced in a rental unit and they were very speedy to make an appointment, worked with me on installation, and on the day of installation they were done is just a couple hours!  I plan to have them replace the remaining carpet in that unit as well as the carpet in my own home---they were GREAT!!! <br />"

"Excellent! Brian Kirby cleaned my beige carpets very well. He listened to my concerns and gave concentrated efforts to eliminate some long standing stains. I have used several companies and will only call Service Pro of Atlanta in the future.."

"John and Luke are straight forward. Carpet is beautiful. Installation was on a Saturday. They arrived on time and the work was completed by 4 p.m. My only complaint is there was a little more space than I desired between the carpet and some Pergo flooring on the bottom of the stairs. (Space between the trim and the carpet. )This probably would have happened with anyone installing as I had very thick carpet that was removed."

"The installers were very careful handling and moving my furniture to do this install. This was a two-bed condo and space was tight. They were efficient, courteous and did a beautiful install. Would highly recommend. I had several estimates and this was the better with a higher grade of carpet."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Cassville, GA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
