"Our experience with Sand G was great. There was never any pressure and everyone of the staff were always available to us and extremely helpful. Bill Sprugasci was our sales rep and had himself been installing carpets for years, so he was able to answer all of our technical questions with ease. Our installer, Lalo, was wonderful. Put carpeting in two rooms, a hall, and a stairwell. He did a fabulous job. We love it. We would highly recommend Sand G in Pleasanton to everyone!
"

"Work went smoothly. Originally was going to put sheet vinyl over existing floor. But with the size of the refrigerator, the workers had to pull the old flooring out. They did all that with no additional cost."

"They should have more clarity with pricing. The installer was talented but his bedroom manners left something to be desired. He was very skilled but condescending. The price was close to the competitors. It ended up being more expensive but we had to have a lot of work done with the subfloor. The sales guy was very professional but the installer that came was a B. I'd give A for the sales guy and B for the installer. I would go to them again. The pricing seemed reasonable on buying the actual wood. The installer was very skilled but challenging to work with. If your floors need a lot of work in terms of leveling out a subfloor, they have very skilled people but they won't necessarily be pleasant to deal with. You'll be happy in the end with the quality of what they did."

"We couldn't be happier with Gary's work. We had hired someone else to take carpet off a staircase and replaced it with hardwood treads and a new railing, which left us with new wood at the top of the stairs and at the base of the new railing on the upper landing, and existing carpet on the rest of the upper floor that needed to be cut and fitted in around the new wood, including one complicated corner. I called a couple of carpet retailers, but their minimum installer charges started around $175, and so I decided to look further through the List to find someone who just did repairs, if possible, because that's all we needed, and lo and behold on the second page there he was.
Gary came out the very next day, cut the carpet to fit beautifully, re-stretched it in numerous places to remove all the bubbles, tacked it down, and installed a shim to raise the level of the carpet where it met the wood at the top of the stairs so there is a smooth transition. After he was done with the major work he spent a lot of time tucking in or cutting off loose threads and generally making it look as neat as possible. He's a delightful guy who really knows what he's doing. His minimum charge is $100, which gets you an hour of his time. I'd recommend him enthusiastically for anyone who needs work like this done.
"

"Matt arrived on time, measured the areas, and got to work cleaning some very dirty places in our carpet, including stairs. He was pleasant and professional, and quick. He finished in less than 2 hours, and everything looks SO MUCH better now. He told us that everything would be dry by morning, and it was. We will have him back later in the year when we get our place ready to put on the market.
"

"Overall a pleasant experience. we went to Armstrong's shop on West Portal and with the assistance of a knowledgeable salesman, Kevin, selected suitable carpeting. kevin came to see the apartment, measured it out and sketched the best and most economic way on cutting the carpeting to fit the premises. This measuring of the floor plan is somewhat tricky because of alcoves, closets and diagonal cut-offs. But he managed beautifully. The overall price was less by several hundred dollars than 7 years ago when the apartment got the last carpeting job. This even though the square foot price of the carpeting was almost the same. Kevin also has a very keen 'color sense,' which helped in harmoniously matching the existing wall colors with the carpeting.
"
