"I am pleased to recommend International Brick and Concrete(IBC) and Rigo Ortez for all asphalt related work. My wife and I needed a driveway overlay due to severe cracking in our 20 year old+ driveway. We called and then interviewed a number of contractors from the area, none of whom were particularly responsive and all of whom were a bit evasive regarding price, specific work to be done and timing. We each separately described our feelings about these contractors as “sketchy”. Rigo was immediately different – he was obviously professional and directly answered all questions. He responded to our message within an hour, showed up to our appointment on time, answered all questions clearly and concisely, provided a proposal within a few hours of our meeting and then completed the job the following week on the day agreed. The price was lower than most of the other quotes we received and overall it was very competitively priced. The driveway work was done by Rigo and his crew exactly as described and per specifications and looks beautiful. While we don’t have direct experience with their brick and concrete work, based on the asphalt job completed for us and RIgo’s professionalism, I am confident they would provide similar quality work. "I was very pleased with the whole process of working with A-1 Concrete Leveling. I contacted several companies about the work (and received many different assessments, prices, proposals on how to solve my issues) before making my selection, but I made the right choice with this company. I was not able to meet Mark when he came by to check out my driveway and walkway, initially, which is something I usually like to do with new contractors. But, Mark came when he said he would and left an estimate, drawing and details for me to review. I then corresponded with him by email several times to ask follow-up questions, to which he efficiently replied with more information. I felt comfortable knowing what to expect and also that I needed to be mindful of upcoming freezing temperatures during which the work could not be performed. When I finally made my decision in late November and informed Mark, he promptly added me to the schedule. On the day of the work, two crew members showed up during the timeframe I was promised and began prepping things. I discussed the scope of work with one crew member. Communication was easy and I felt listened to. Shortly thereafter, Mark arrived on-site and he went over things with me. He was very professional and personable. "This project had a very tight building area in an high security/ high tech office building courtyard which required that they (Hemax)move all of heavy equipment and material (bobcats, steel, concrete pipes, excavated soil and concrete) through a finish hallway. The tolerance for accuracy in the pad construction was very small and they had to do it in extremely cold weather. Hemax performed flawlessly and on time. Hemax is not the least expensive option but they are very detail oriented, well organized, specific in their estimates and paperwork, maintain clean worksites do their jobs right and above all are nice people!"
