"Everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful. And the work behind the scenes cleaning the carpets is clearly of the highest quality. We had some of the 11 carpets we took to Bear cleaned last year in our office in Las Vegas. We had them cleaned again. There was no comparison. I'd highly recommend them if you love your carpets!"

"Enchantment Carpet technician arrived on time, worked quickly, and did an excellent job of repairing the carpet. He used a section of carpet leftover from original installation and it is almost impossible to tell where he "pieced" it in. Excellent job!"

"I was very pleased with all aspects of the service. Jacob, the technician, knew so much about carpets and stains and cleaning products that I was confident he made the best choices for my needs. My carpet looks much better and this was the first time the carpet actually was dry by evening."

"We bought the flooring from the local Home Depot. At the time of purchase they gave us the name of an installer and charged us for the installation . When I tried to contact the installer they recommended, he didn't return my phone calls. On the fifth try someone from his office called. They said they wouldn''t do the installation because they didn't lay laminate over tile. This laminate explicitly states that it can be laid over tile but they refused. I went back to Home Depot. They were surprised at the installer's reaction and refunded that portion of our purchase price. They couldn't recommend another installer because they were contracted with this man. I kept the flooring and started looking for another installer.
After checking Angie's List, I called Mark Romero at A-Quality Install. He came out and looked at there the flooring was to go. He said there would be no problem in putting that floor over the tile because they did it all the time. Within a week one of his workers came to do the leveling on the floor. A few days later they returned and put the flooring down. They were very professional about the work and the project was completed within two weeks. When we noticed that some of the pieces of floor looked as though they were coming up, they returned promptly and fixed that.
We purchased new fixtures for the 1/2 bath. One of Mark's affiliates came and installed the plumbing and some of the fixtures.
Overall we are quite pleased with the floor and with the work they did. I definitely would recommend them. I would also use them again if I need flooring in the future."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Cedar Crest, NM

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
