"When he mentioned he was a musician turned carpenter I should paid more attention. I have a two-inch gouge on my new hard wood floor. He spilled paint on the floor and used a steel putty knife to dig it out. Three doors now hit when opening and closing. They are new doors and had no prior problems, until this new trim was added. It was brought to his attention he looked at the front door saw where it was hitting. Then ignored me like I had not said anything. Once the trim was in place. I thought he would fill it in with white nail putty. He took brown wood filler and applied it to the trim to fill the holes. Then took calking and smeared it on the top of the trim. Then he finished painting. In some places the calking goes up the wall and needs the wall painted to bring the paint down to where the wall and trim meet. I now have calking on my freshly painted walls, where the top of the trim contracts the wall. I’m should be glad he didn’t smear caulking between the trim and the floor. Between the gouge in my floors and doors that no longer work properly in will request at least five reference from now on."
