It's wonderful to work with someone who takes pride in his work and ensures you are comfortable every step of the way. Robert patched the bathroom subfloor and spackled many rooms in the house that showed cracking due to settling or water damage (around windows). In addition, he replaced a toilet, hung a heavy mirror, and replaced bathroom lights. All of this was done with care. I work from home and my kids often school from home and he made sure to avoid noise during meetings, etc. He was also generous with his expertise, open to discussing ideas, but never pushed to take on more than was requested. I'm happy to share such a good experience."

"I hired Straight up Wallcoverings to put up a vinyl alligator wallpaper in my home office. I have waited years to have an incredible office and this wallpaper was an integral part of the process and it had to be perfect. Kim, the owner of Straight Up Wallcoverings. and her assistant showed up at the time they agreed to. They promptly got to work, taking great care not to mess up my home. They treated my home as if it was theirs and were very careful. The wall Kim had to work with was a 65 year old mahogany wall. The previous owner had put an unknown substance on the wall which made the adhesive not adhere to the wall. This did not deter Kim at all. She knew exactly what to do. She was able to treat the wall and she was able to get the adhesive to stay. She then had to make sure the cuts in the wallpaper were perfect. The last thing I wanted was to see a seam in this complicated and intricate pattern. Kim cut the wallpaper perfectly and pieced it together in a way that makes it appear as if it is all one piece. She did an amazing job. Once Kim was done, they cleaned up everything. I appreciate the great care they took of my home. After the job was completed, Kim did not just pack up and move on to the next job. She gave me her number and was available for any questions I might have. I did have to call her as I was planning on painting an adjoining wall and needed to know what type of tape to use. Kim demonstrated her expertise and was able to guide me to the right tape for the painting job. Her customer service is incredible. I have one additional wallpaper job to do in my home and Straight Up Wallcoverings is the only company I will call."

"Was ZERO Prep work. Workers did not get up on the ladders until the paint came. No scraping, priming, or power wash, which were all in the contract. Painting was done over dirt and dust. Contract said they would prep and clean and power wash the areas being painted. None of that was done. Said they would do two coats, but only did one. They told me they painted the second coat after the first one dried when they were still up on the ladders. Give me a break. If you do not do what you say you are going to do, then you are lying. The crew and the paint job itself we decent, but no prep work and lying about the second coat was completely unacceptable. No prep work means the job will not last. I would not recommend them given the incomplete job that was done."
