"The encapsulation went very well. The workers removed existing insulation and did a nice job putting up new insulation. They also sprayed the mold on the floor joists above, although that cost extra. The problem arose when the foreman came to rear of the house to see the patio to be removed. He seemed completely surprised at its size and told me quite frankly that they were not given its dimensions, and so had no way to haul that much concrete away that day. The fact that they didn't have the size of the patio is bizarre, since an inspector came to our house twice (once to quote, the other to sign documents) and had measured the patio both times. The workers broke up the concrete and said they would arrange for someone to come out and remove the concrete-- also frustrating as I'm a teacher, and this work was being done the very last weekday of summer break. Now I can see how miscommunications can happen, and I understand that the workers couldn't haul away the material that day. That's not my issue. My issue is that here we are Wednesday of next week, and not only does my back yard still look like the apocalypse has hit, but they didn't even call to schedule anything! I've heard nothing! When I called them myself at 4PM I was sent to the scheduling people only to get a recording and a voice mail! When you mess up, it's only a problem if you don't make it right, and these people seem wholly unconcerned that they messed up and left a huge mess in my back yard. I understand that the removal of concrete isn't their forte, but this is just silly. Update: After calling, they scheduled an appointment to haul away the concrete the next week, and while they did it, the representative was really pushy trying to upsell me on tons of extras. If I ever need work done on my foundation again, I will definitely find someone else. I suggest you consider doing the same."

"Homespec did a great job with our crawlspace. Our heating and cooling bills have gone down a lot. Also we had them come out to my house 10 months later for a different problem with our foundation and they saw the previous crew missed some small things so they are repairing the crawlspace for free. Great company and I appreciate their honesty. Def recommend!"

"Great experience-start to finish. I cannot say enough good things about working with this company. Russell made sure I understand exactly what was happening with our foundation, exactly what him and his crew were going to do, and how much it would cost. Zero pressure to hire them - just an explanation of what was happening and how it could be fixed. Sometimes construction was delayed, we started much later than I had planned…and it took longer than expected - BUT I would hire them 100x over. There is no other company I would trust with my foundation. Period. His crew worked in the pouring rain, cleaned up at the end of the day - (meaning they swept the street in front of my house) and protected my grass during construction. I would challenge ANYone to come over and guess where they dug. (8ft+trench) The crew even preserved some trinkets for my girls when they dug in their fairy garden♥️. I’m so impressed with this company and though it was the most $$ I’ve spent ever on a home - I’m so so glad we hired them - and I am so grateful that we met him. Btw - he was there often to inspect the work and explain where they were in the process, what they had done, and why they’re doing it. "The concrete work looks great! The workers were very professional. My only suggestion is to follow up about your appointment the day prior. My only disappointment was that I waited around all day on the day of my scheduled appointment. I called a few times throughout the day of the appointment for the ETA, which I was told each time that the ETA iwas unknown. I was finally told at the end of the day that my appointment needed to be rescheduled to the next day, fortunately, I did not need to be present. The workers showed up first thing in the morning on the rescheduled day and did a great job!"

"My first estimate said I needed helical piers and near $20,000. I hired a structural engineer & he said no piers needed and spelled out in detail how to repair the problem. Jay from basement cracks & Leaks was the one I chose after a few estimates. They were on time, completed the work early, did not disturb my plants and cleaned up well. They did the repair exactly as the engineer stated it should be done. While I paid the bill one man went to the basement to fill the crack, but it was a real sloppy mess. I paid and signed off, so had no hold on them to fix the mess. That night Jay stopped by in his own truck on his time off, cleaned up the sloppy mess & neatly refilled the crack. Legally he did not have to as I had paid and signed off. This company does what they say, does it well and stands by it's work. Highly recommended"

"Crew was professional. Other than lunch, worked non stop. Breaking up concrete creates dust but the workmen put down drop cloths and cleaned up the work site after the job was completed. Viewing the work, it looks good. They repaired a 53 ft section of my basement. The test will be in the Spring when it rains but I am confident the problem has been fixed. This company has very good customer reviews and that is what I was looking for."
