"It all started with a burst pipe. I called a plumber I knew in the area and he recommended them for drying and replacing the damaged interior. As we did not want to begin the project without clearing the cat smell, I asked Ted and crew if they were capable of doing a big job, complete interior remodel. They said yes without hesitation. Ted jumped into the project enthusiastically. He got the general gist of what we were looking for and took it from there. Along with his right-hand man Mike, these two quickly grasped our vision, and then guided us along, adding to that vision with a synergy that, in the end, was pretty much perfection. <br /> After agreeing on a price estimate, the first and most important item was getting rid of cat urine smell. Without that being complete, nothing else mattered. Ted brought in several people to conduct the smell test after the sealing was complete. What they could not seal, they removed and replaced.  My wife has a spectaculer sense of smell and once she gave the ok, we were good to go. It was a perfect job.  As to the aforementioned burst pipe, there was an insurance issue which needed to be addressed. Ted's expertise in that field allowed us to get a very respectful settlement that assisted us in our total renovation.  As we live 300 miles away from this 2nd home, it was important that our contractor be a self-starter and have quality subcontractors. Ted's guys matched his vision and enthusiasm and we did not have to worry. We did not need the job completed immediately so we allowed Ted and crew to take their time and do it right. If I had a question, either Ted or Mike responded within minutes. Literally and always. I could not have asked for better guys to work on our home.  Several times they offered suggestions without offending. I was way off base on the flooring and they politely laid out a vision that showed me the error of my ways and moved me to completely grasp their correct suggestions in a totally uncondescending way. Always. And Ted and Mike suggested a beautiful mantlepiece above the fireplace...cedar instead of limestone. Ted wanted natural, Mike suggested staining it.....but first we had to convince my wife. A sight to behold, done with pictures, illustration, and patience.  My wife absolutely loves that mantle now, and it is the centerpiece of the room. It is also what makes it so cozy. They knocked out walls, brought in support beams, remodeled the bathrooms, tiled them, put in a wood floor, new windows, new roof, new everything. That home just wraps itself around us and we look back fondly on these memories because we never had a single problem that did not get addressed.....and they saw stuff they did not like about an area of work they did that I did not even see, and corrected it immediately. The exterior paint job was an act of faith on our part and we were just blown away with the detail work. Just a great bunch of guys. I give them my highest recommendation. <br /> <br />"
