"We recently had the unfortunate experience of working with Character Companies Inc., and as government civil servants and veterans, we were deeply disappointed. The price of renovating two bathrooms and installing new LVP flooring at $70K (original quote: $84K) seemed excessive, but we hoped that the quality of service would justify the cost. Sadly, that was not the case, and it has cost us the chance to rent out our home while we are deployed to Iraq. From start to finish, the experience was a nightmare. The project management was abysmal, with multiple delays that extended the timeline one month beyond the agreed schedule. It took over two months to do just two bathrooms and replace flooring when the original timeline was four weeks. This company demonstrated a shocking lack of professionalism and accountability throughout the process. The design work was utterly incompetent, failing to conform to the existing plumbing structure in our bathrooms. The contractor disregarded our repeated attempts to bring attention to design flaws and forced the installation of bathroom vanities by performing a â carpentry fixâ that left us with two top drawers sealed shut, one bottom drawer with a cutout, and one fully functional drawer. One month after installation, one vanity separated from the wall and had to be reattached. Our allegations of Character charging us for high-end fixtures and installing cheaper ones were ignored. The final straw was the damage done to our marble floors. Instead of offering a repair or replacement, the contractor covered it with LVP and then charged us at the end of the project for the extra costs of the LVP that they incurred to cover up the damage! This was deceitful and completely unacceptable. The CEOâ s disregard for customer satisfaction and maintaining basic work standards is unforgivable. The only thing he did well was apologize profusely, not caring about fixing any problems. During a phone call, he admitted that our project was a â dumpster fireâ yet didnâ t offer any concessions. We strongly advise anyone considering Character Companies Inc. to stay far away. Their poor project management, substandard design, shoddy craftsmanship, and unprofessional conduct have left us with a costly mess that will take more time and money to fix. Protect yourself and go with an experienced, reputable company."

"Victor and his crew were extremely professional and very easy to work with. Victor was always readily available to answer any questions/concerns we had and was on site most of the time. The same crew was there from the beginning and they were very nice and courteous. They seemed to really care about the small details and before I pointed anything out, Victor would point it out and tell me they would take care of it. This is the 3rd project we have done on our house (using 3 different contractors) and by far Skylight Builders has been the best contractor we worked with. We are already planning on working with him again for our back deck. I wish I had used him previously."

They helped a great deal to meet my vision and guide me through the process. Their team was great and here everyday until the renovation was completed and it was completed on schedule. They also were quick to come and fix the inevitable little things we noticed that need touch ups even after it was complete. I also appreciated they brought samples for me to chose from so I wouldn't have to run around during a pandemic. I highly recommend them, it was a pleasure to have them complete our renovation."

"I would HIGHLY recommend US builders for any home remodeling project. I saw the quality of their work when they did a total kitchen remodel for my neighbor. The quality was top notch so I hired them to repair the outside and inside of my home when a car, traveling at a high rate of speed crashed into the front of our home. Workmanship is superb, they arrive on time, have the skills and resources to do the job, and they clean up at the end of every day. They same workers were at the job site start to finish, they could easily problem solve unique issues. They repaired and painted drywall, put on new siding and new windows, replaced ceramic tile in the foyer, and "sistered" support beams around the stairwell. PLUS they worked seamlessly with the insurance company!!!!"

"Overall, our experience was positive. The pricing was very competitive, and the quality of the products met our expectations. Communication, however, could have been more consistent. Responses to our inquiries were sometimes delayed, and we occasionally received messages late at night. Additionally, working with multiple contacts made the process feel a bit disorganized at times. That said, when communication did happen, they were helpful and responsive. With a bit more coordination, this would have been a near perfect experience."

"I hired RLD Builders to construct a retaining wall that needed replaced before we could repave the driveway. RLD Builders came in with a competitive price and won the job. What was to take a few weeks turned into a three month ordeal. The county permit process caused hurdle after hurdle to get the permits but Rafe kept on the county and we finally got the permits and the job was completed to our satisfaction. We then put the house on the market for sale and had moved to our new out-of-the-area location. The hot water tank in the basement decided to let loose causing major damage to the basement. This is where RLD Builders exceeded our expectations. Rafe and his crew jumped in and cleaned up the water damage, worked with the insurance agents to get approvals, and completely rebuilt our basement. Being that we were no longer in the area, it was a blessing to have RLD Builders on the job to take care of all the details. We couldn't have done it without them. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE ! ! !"
