"Excellent communication between serviceman and customer. The plumber arrived precisely on time, listened as I described the specifics of the job, and got to work, promptly. The work done was competent and highly satisfactory. I would have no qualms utilizing this plumber in the future."

"I tried to fix it myself but apparently I had cleaned the backup secondary line instead of the primary. He took care of the issue in minutes and it has worked fine since."

"Devin did a fantastic job cleaning the main line to my house. He was not able to clear from the roof vent, he went out of his way to figure out a solution and got my line cleared! Great job, would hire again."

"Very professional service. Price was as quoted and less than local competitors. Showed up a little late but contacted us to let us know he was running behind first. Took about an hour to complete the work. Would definitely use them again."

"I found a way to repair my fiberglass tub instead of replacing it. NOTE: Jonathan at Brooks Plumbing was prompt to get in touch with me, and pleasant to deal with during the information gathering process. This company would be my first choice if I actually need to change out a tub, etc."

"I own and manage rental properties throughout the city and the #1 service issue is plumbing, so knowing a good plumber is essential. When my excellent former plumber ceased his solo practice I went through a series of experiences that made me appreciate all the more the friendly, reliable, and affordable work he'd done for me over the years. As a hands-on property owner I prefer to deal directly with the owners of businesses, like my former plumber. A few of the plumbing outfits I dealt with sent employees who were less than professional and their office staff were lackadaisical. On complex jobs spanning several days different plumbers would sometimes be sent out, which interrupted the work flow and led to errors. Fortunately, before too long I met David Meyer, the owner of Meyer Plumbing, and from the start he impressed me with his can-do yet amenable attitude. He showed up right on time for the first appointment and for every single appointment afterward. It's very important to me that people be respectful of others' time, especially their clients'.
After the first job, a toilet replacement, my tenant was so pleased that he called to tell me how accommodating David was and how well the installation turned out. With the most recent job, the one costing $1,535, David solved a problem that had long plagued my parents, the extremely slow hot (lukewarm, actually) water delivery in their mid-century slab-on-grade brick house. Other plumbers had given them awful news about how the underslab galvanized pipes must be so clogged with mineral deposits that entirely new piping would have to be run from the hot water tanks on one end of the house all the way to the bathrooms at the opposite end, a distance of over 70 feet even in a straight run. Given the unique architecture of the house the work would be destructive and expensive. The least invasive option was to install tankless hot water heaters close to the bathrooms, but that involved tearing out walls, tile and brick, and running a new gas line at the far side of the house, a burdensome and costly prospect. So for years my parents lived with the diminishing hot water and pressure until this past frigid Christmastime with a houseful of company it became clear that something had to be done.
I called David and he took a look at the system and he thought that a little investigative work and experimentation would be worth doing before taking on the major work of installing a new tankless system. He spent some time checking out the house and found severe corrosion and clogging of the pipe where the hot water heaters connected to the house's pipes. Apparently another plumber years ago had joined copper to galvanized without a break, a big no-no, causing the galvanized pipe to foul up terribly. David replaced the bad section of pipe and determined that the rest of the line was still clear with good pressure at the bathroom fixtures. He installed a pump at the heater and reconfigured the pipes at each of the fixtures, and with that relatively minor and completely non-invasive work the problem was fixed 100%! No massive chopping and digging, no messy re-routing and restoring, thereby saving my parents a huge bundle in headache and expense. Now the hot water arrives in seconds instead of interminable minutes.
The due diligence, resourcefulness, and fairness that David showed is rare these days. I'm sure there are others out there who would've looked at my aged parents' job as a nice payday, but David's fee was completely reasonable considering the amount of work involved (about a day and a half) and the high cost of the materials, which he fully explained to me. An added plus is the ongoing savings of countless gallons of water that no longer need to be wasted before hot water reaches the fixtures.
