"Jesse Jones, owner of Professional Carpet Systems came today to extract an entire bottle of red wine that broke and spilled onto our light beige carpet. If anyone could get our carpet clean again, I knew it would be PCS. Jesse was quick to respond, within minutes of my texting him, assuring me he would do his best to get the stains out. He arrived exactly on time, did a magnificent job getting the large stains out of the carpet and then cleaned the entire carpet in that room. I could not have been more pleased. I have used PCS for many years now and have never been disappointed with the service. Terrific customer service because Jesse Jones genuinely cares about his customers being satisfied with his work. I highly recommend PCS for your carpet cleaning needs. I’m attaching 3 photos of the carpet before and after the cleaning. Gail D Wake Forest, NC. "

"ProGreen Carpet crew were really professional from the time I make the appointment to the day of the service. They send me a confirmation quote in my email will all the details of my order. Also they did a walkthru to explain me the type of cleaning that they were performing. When the cleaning was completed they make sure all my concern was taking care of. My carpet looks spotless, and finally all the spiderwebs and mold are gone from outdoors. Is hard this days to find a company that cares for their customers and goes the extra mile. I highly recommend ProGreen Carpet to anyone that wants great service."

"Bell's Carpet, and particularly Fred, one of the sales persons went through the entire process with us, from showing us options at the show room, to coming to our house to measure, and then coordinating the entire installation.  He ordered the stock for us and performed the services ahead of schedule.  Also, when there was an issue (a staple sticking out of the wood foyer), I called him and he had someone take care of it immediately.  Wouldn't hesitate to do business with Bell's again. <br />"

"Excellent results. I had just bought a 20 year old house and the carpet needed some freshening before I moved in. The house was empty of all furniture so the job was fairly straight forward, but it was done efficiently and effectively. The carpet was left immaculately clean and had a fresh clean scent. They even cleaned a couple of pieces of scrap carpet I had upon request and at no extra charge."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Chapel Hill, NC

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
