"I was not there during the work; however, the project manager was Great, he provided a daily progress report every evening. Texted photos of the project in different stages of their progress. He alerted me when there was an issue and provided sound recommendations and options. He stayed in budget but did not sacrifice quality and workmenship. General Background: The purpose of the project was leveling the house. The house was built on a crawl space about 30 years ago. Because the house was on a crawl space and the distance from the ground to the house was about two blocks high or about 22 inches high, a tunnel rat could not fit into that space to obtain an accurate assessment of the foundation issue. I know, I was a tunnel rat during one of my tours in Vietnam. Mount Valley Foundation Services project manager could only give me an estimate of the foundation issue. Based on his experience, he provided a very good estimate what was wrong and what it would take to level the house and cost. What that meant was they would have to tear out the subflooring exposing the crawl space area. Every room offered a new surprise; however, the project manager was on target regarding his assessment. "We’ve been real pleased with them. It’s a little family run business and they do an excellent job. They are actually coming out next week and we use the sentricon bait system, so they would be coming out and checking the bait system. We’ve been real pleased with them. They are a termite protection, so we use them on an on-going basis. What they do is they maintain it, but they come out several times a year and check the bait stations. We have a contract with them, so it’s an on-going contract. I think they come every 3 months. They check the little bait traps every 3 months. We pay $3,500 a year for our termite protection. We’re pleased with the price and the quality. If we’re not pleased with people we don’t use them. If we use them they’re an “A” or we don’t use them anymore. We’ve been using them on-going for several years."

"I also had them for regular pest control on separate contract but they seem to be increasing that quite a bit each year and I wasn't happy with that. There pest control service now is using a device that they plant on the ground, several device around your house and up the canisters, and they put in there some kind of a piece of a wood treated with an insecticide. It supposedly lures termites away from your house in canisters. They eat that wood and die. They don't actually come out and spray anymore. These little canisters are in the ground and gets there every once and a while to check and make sure to see if there are termites or if it needs to be refilled. The annual cost of that is two hundred and seventy dollars and that's after we pay an initial to set them up, and several hundred dollars to have their service. Keep an eye on the cost because we had them for the regular pest control and the initial set up costs are kind of expensive, it seems like we payed, and as I looked back, probably close to a thousand dollars for both of their services: the termite and pest control. I'm a little bit concerned for when they were doing the pesticide pest control because I felt they were kind of excessive with the chemicals and we have a lot of birds around the house, we have pets and they would often park they truck up and lay the hose and just throw at the back and basically just spray everything inside. It wasn't really healthy for our animals or the birds"

"Date of service was approximate last yearly inspection. Cost is approximate, I could be off on that. House was purchased with their termite bond in force. After the initial bond expired, the house remained termite-free. Because the yearly inspections were so complete and well done, I was inclined to consider Hillcrest for the retreatment process. I did take several bids and found other name-brand companies tend to push the services not essential to a simple termite treatment. <br /> All considered, their price was best and knowing the quality of work already invested, I was confident in their product and service.
