"The installation went fairly well. The Installer arrived at stated time and the job was completed within the timeframe noted. We were told we would not see any hardware (I.e. Screws) when the job was finished; however, the plugs used to cover the screws were never installed. A subsequent call was made, the salesperson came and stated that someone would be out to install the "plugs" used to cover screws. I have not heard anything from the company and I am still waiting for the plugs to be installed. To me, this indicates the job is incomplete. <br />"

"Overall, Paul, the owner, was a delight to work with.  He reached out to us within the time specified when we bought the Angie's deal on-line.  Paul visited our home to understand the scope of the work and verbally quoted us a price. We then scheduled the work to be done for the following month.  Paul called within a few days of the scheduled work just to confirm the date/time. He arrived promptly and had no issue with us asking him to wear covers over his shoes while he worked in our home.  Paul worked quietly and so quickly that the job was done in two half-days.  He even adjusted (reduced) the final price based upon what he thought was fair for the amount of work and time he spent.  Without having discussed it previously, he offered to touch up areas on the walls where the old paint (different color) met the new paint. "I found this company via a web search for hardwood installers in my area.  My nephew is a carpenter and had recommended using the unfinished hardwood and have it sanded and sealed with polyurthane.  Reading Haven Hardwoods web site gave me exactly the same recommendations my nephew had given me for finishing the floor.  Everyone else was pushing pre-finished or laminate flooring and didn't want to even consider anything else. <br /> The initial visit by Andrew was a very pleasant experience.  Not only was he personable, but more important - he listened and offered suggestions when asked.  He incorporated my ideas into the plan and suggested refinements as needed.  One of the rooms was an odd shape and the room next to it had the wood running the opposite direction to the way the new flooring needed to be installed.  I suggested the possibility of putting a picture frame type of border around the edge of the room.  Andrew knew exactly what I was talking about and quickly incorporated it into the plan. <br /> Scheduling getting the project started worked well as they worked around my schedule as well as theirs.  The problems started when the carpet was removed and they found that I had a leak along one wall (I'm really glad they found it instead of continuing!).  The installation had to be put on hold while the leak was corrected.  The contractor who did the repairs significantly delayed the work on the floor.  Throughout it though Andrew kept in touch and when things were finally to a point the installation could continue quickly worked me into their schedule.  <br /> I've never dealt with a more professional company.  They arrived when they said they would, let me know what they intended to accomplish that day and then accomplished it.  At the end of each day everything was cleaned up and tools were stacked neatly out of the way.  They did the work themselves - you didn't have a different crew of people in the house every day like is true with some companies.   Several things came up during the project that needed done in addition to the planned work.  Their attitude was always 'not a problem' and they included the extra work without letting it affect the overall schedule. <br /> Quality of workmanship was excellent.  The flooring turned out absolutey beautiful and I'm really glad I found these two great guys."
