"Look no further for drain cleaning and/or repair!! I can't say enough good things about Tom Allen and his business (including Mike and Carlos with G A Hunt Excavating, who handled the excavation and new drain installation). His prices, professional conduct and quality of work stand alone in the greater Lansing area as far as I'm concerned... and I've dealt with the full spectrum of drain cleaners in the last few years, from the most well known in the area (2 come to mind) to the "craigslist snake dudes." (Just FYI - I'm cross-posting this on google reviews too.) Short story: I called Allen's Sewer & Drain Cleaning to clear and video a partially blocked clay tile main line which ended up needing replacement with PVC. I couldn't be happier with Tom, his prices or his conduct. G A Hunt Excavating out of St. Johns did a great job with the excavating. Long Story: I own a home with lots of trees on site and a (formerly) clay tile main line that I've had snaked annually by a variety of people over the last 6 years in the house. After repeated issues within the month of Nov and Dec 2016 I called Tom after a google search turned up all the positive reviews you're reading. Maybe I just got lucky but he was able to come over later that same day to clear and video/TV the main line. He was very friendly and showed up as promised on schedule. After dealing with so many professional and semi-professional drain folks over the past 6 years I was impressed at the high quality gear he brought over, considering the price he quoted. After clearing the line via basement clean-out he narrated the video exploration of my drain and it was visibly obvious that the clay tiles had reached the end of their service life - a combination of tree roots and failure of the line itself (almost 70 years, not too bad!). We discussed replacement options and I was lucky to find that the excavation crew with whom he usually works was able to squeeze me in the next morning. We kept putting off this replacement because of the anticipated cost and trouble but maybe it was just fate (or at least good fortune) delaying us until I stumbled across Tom Allen. The cost was about half what we had anticipated and took a little over a day from when he walked in the door to when the trench was back-filled. THANKS AGAIN TO ALLEN'S SEWER & DRAIN CLEANING (and G A Hunt Excavating)!! NO MORE ANNUAL SNAKING AND I STILL HAVE MONEY IN MY POCKET!"

"The bathroom included a beautifully tiled floor and shower. They were very careful with the B-Dry basement drainage system when accessing the pipes and going though the floor for the plumbing and really appeared to me to treat my house with the same respect they would treat their own homes while they were here.  For example, Shawn and his group averted an unknown  impending disaster  from occurring in the basement, just by checking the lift station outside before breaking into the main pipe leading out to the drain field.  As it happened, the switch on the submersible pump wasn't working and because of all of the rain, there was water all they way to the to top of the lift station cover.  There would have been a huge flood in the basement.  So Shawn also made that repair the next day.  The gentlemen who did the drywall and tile work did and excellent job, and took the time necessary to do a wonderful job.  It's really the best looking room in the house right now!  We will be having Shawn and his crew back to renovate the upstairs shower in a few weeks. <br />"

"I called on a Sunday and the plumber, Dennis, was at the house within a couple of hours. I was concerned about higher rates on a Sunday, but Dennis told me that Michigan Plumbing does not charge extra for weekends. Dennis was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He spent time checking all of the bathrooms and drains and after flushing two other toilets further down the drain run was able to clear up a blockage which was causing an air pocket. He saved us from what could have been an expensive repair. He didn't charge us for his time. I am very impressed by his honesty and his skills. I will definitely call Michigan Plumbing in the future."
