In the process of installing my new sump pump, back-up sump pump, and sump pump alarm system, it was determined that a new dedicated outlet could not be created due to my existing electrical panel being too small. Thus, I needed to get an electrical panel upgrade. Through JES Foundation, a date and time was arranged to have my new electrical panel upgrade installed. The lead Root electrician Andrew, and his assistant Andy, dd a terrific job installing the new upgraded electric panel. They were both very friendly, efficient, and professional. Andrew afterwards walked me through everything that was done, and answered any questions that I had. They also cleaned up afterwards very well. "Our sump pump stopped working unexpectedly on Saturday, February 10 so I called Jerry's knowing they have 24 hour emergency service and our first experience with Jerry's was very positive. Due to the fact that it was raining all day and would be into the weekend, there was no time to contact my home warranty company. When I called (late Saturday afternoon), Jerry answered the phone and had his on-call technician get in touch with me immediately. Steve, the on-call technician, arrived within the hour. He assessed the situation and confirmed that our sump pump had to be replaced. Steve was polite, thorough and professional. He cleaned the interior of our sump pump and installed a new product that was clearly much higher quality than the previous one. "Bill Martins Flood Crew is excellent. In December, just before Christmas, my finished rec room flooded when my sump pump failed--soaked carpet, cardboard boxes, books, furniture with sewer water. I thought I would not find anybody this time of year to help me. But I called Bill Martins from Flood Crew, and he came out right away. He looked at the basement and gave me an analysis of my damage on the spot. He was wonderful. He took care of getting detailed estimates to my insurance company and then made arrangements for me with all the needed specialists. First, I wouldn't have known where to start, and second I wouldn't have had a clue whom to call. I needed crews to remove the carpet, cut out drywall all around to dry it out, check for mold, test for asbestos, and then remove everything. And, of course, fixing the sump pump, installing flooring, putting everything back, and lots of details in between. All of this obviously can't be completed in a week or even a month. My work was not the only project that busy contractors had. My situation was far more complicated than I thought it would be. Ultimately, it took four months, which I thought was very reasonable. And the result is so beautiful--no corners cut, no putting up with mediocre results, all this for the same price and time or less than others quote. Be patient. Be flexible.
