"I can't speak highly enough about this company. When I called to arrange an on site visit for an estimate, they showed up on time and listened to everything I had to say about the job. I was given a written quote on the spot (something I rarely see from contractors), so I offered them the job. To my surprise, he said he could get started the very next day (a Saturday) and that they would be able to finish the following Monday when the deck had dried off. They arrived to start the job when they said they would, and got to work right away. I was concerned I would need to move the stuff we have on the decks, but they told me they could simply move them to the side and then move them back when they were done. They did exactly that, and everything was put back to its original position when they were finished. They were power washing all day, and were very thorough. When they came back two days later, they again went to work right away rebuilding the stairs and water sealing the deck. The stairs look great! They even added a step so the bottom step could sit more securely on the concrete (it had been resting on a cinder block before being rebuilt). They advised to wait 1-2 days for the water sealer to dry before using the decks, we paid them, and they did a great job cleaning up when they left. I wish all contractors we hired were as efficient and straightforward as the people working at Melvin Power Wash. I will absolutely call on them again when my decks need maintenance, or if my house needs a wash."

J. Orsi is a consummate old school professional. He is there when he says he’ll be there, he

shows up every day and he doesn’t have multiple jobs going at once. I knew from
the minute I got his estimate that his attention to detail was going to be exceptional.
The estimate was three or four pages long and completely itemized, it probably
took several hours to put together. If you like a complete breakdown and want
to know where every dollar is going, this is your guy.

Jay is a person who clearly takes pride in his work and it shows. If you’re looking for
someone who’s going a rush and bang out the job quickly this may not be your
guy but if you want someone who’s going to do a great job at a great value, I
highly recommend him.

One of his strengths is tile work, he is truly excellent at it. He did a subway tile
backsplash and floor tile in several areas and they came out beautifully. He
doesn’t just slap it down he measures and plots and does it the way it’s
supposed to be done so that the finished product is impeccable.
He had a lot of great ideas to contribute to the project, things I would not have thought of
but by the same token his feelings are hurt if you consider his input but decide
to go in another direction.
Jay provided a number of references to call. I called several of them and they all gave
glowing recommendations and now I know why."

They cleaned up well each day so we could continue to use our kitchen and dining table each night. He was thoughtful enough to completely finish the main living area first and then start on the other side of the house so we could get back to using it as quickly as possible. We couldn't be there while they worked but I felt very comfortable leaving them there while we were at work. Highly recommend!"
