"First off, John is amazing.  He'd been out to my house a year before to help with this bathtub.
This time, after calling him, he showed up within an hour.  He thought the problem might be the tub drain and suggested replacing it - a simple and non-invasive repair.  He admitted it might be something harder, such as the tub trap, but that would involve cutting a hole in the downstairs ceiling to reach the pipes.  He wanted to avoid that, and so I agreed to start with replacing the accessible drain components.  He sent one of his guys out the next night, working around my family's crazy work schedule.  The drain was replaced and tested, but later that night it started leaking again.  I called John and he apologized and committed to coming back out the next night, saying he would likely have to cut into the ceiling for the repair.
True to his word, he came right out the next night.  He cut two small holes in the ceiling, quickly identified the problem, and fixed the pipes.  We talked about repairing the ceiling, and since I prefer to do that kind of work myself, he walked me through EXACTLY what type of materials I need and EXACTLY how to do the repair.  I plan on getting that done this weekend.
I cannot sing this man's praises enough.  I've never worked with any repair person / contractor who is so nice, understanding, and communicative about the work.  I would recommend this company to anyone who needs plumbing work.  I keep his card handy just in case something comes up, because I know he will respond promptly and offer high quality service.  Thanks again John!!

The salesperson was very cordial. He answered all of my questions and provided me with a quote before he left. The meeting was less than an hour and there were no high pressure sales tactics. I checked other companies providing the same services and Porcelite's price was competitive and they were by far the most responsive. (One company didn't call me back until after the work was done!) When I gave the go ahead they had me on their schedule within a couple of weeks.

It was a two part installation. The  shower pan was refinished first and it took a couple of hours to do. The first technician arrived on-time and he finished the work in the time frame quoted on the phone. The second technician came in a couple of days later. He was also on-time and finished the work within the 4 hours quotes on the phone. Both technicians were very friendly and answered all of my maintenance questions.

I am extremely pleased with the end result. My shower looks new and is practically self cleaning! 

There were no surprises with the cost. I paid the price originally quoted.

From beginning to end my experience with Porcelite was very pleasant and more importantly very professional. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends.

"We called to make an appointment on Monday, January 21, for the plumber to come out and do this replacement work. The intake person, Norma, was friendly and professional, and she scheduled the appointment for that Friday, January 25. We opted for the 10-2 time window for the visit. The plumber, Jack, called us a little before 10:00 to say that he could come by a little early, if that was OK. It was fine with us, and he showed up and undertook the work. We didn't want to shop around in advance for the parts, so we explained to Norma what we were looking for and followed up with an email that she shared with the plumber in advance of the visit. Jack, the plumber showed up with good-quality replacement parts that met our requirements. We know we could have purchased these parts more cheaply on our own, but it saved us time and gas to just have the plumber "shop" for us and then do the replacement work. Though Saffer is on the expensive side, even with a coupon, we were pleased with both the parts and Jack's work."

"Dan had great ideas for improving our kitchen. I have a small kitchen, but then it is extended with a breezeway that was enclosed a long time ago. It always seemed so chopped up, but Dan found a way to connect the two rooms better. He directed us in a way so that now we have a beautiful kitchen. Dan has many great ideas. He was always extremely responsive when we had questions. The crew was courteous and detail oriented. We love the materials and colors of our new kitchen, and it seems much bigger. "We had a very difficult faucet to replace in a 60+ year old house and knew we couldn't do it ourselves.  I sent James pictures of the bathtub fixture and plumbing to assess the cost.  He provided a reasonable estimate and showed up on time.  I think the job ended up being much more difficult than expected, due to the age of the house and old fixture.  In spite of it taking 3 hours, with lots of minor complications, he honored the estimate and was very professional.  We will definitely hire him to do future work.
