"First, we have 26 windows, several of which are really big, so what we paid is likely more than most folks would have to (for a single family residence, 1 floor, 3 bedrooms). Achievers' estimate was SO much less than others, such as Sears ($27K!!!). It took two guys 4 - 5 days to install all the windows, working from morning to mid-afternoon (when it got too hot to continue). They were both nice guys, very professional, and they cleaned up every day when they were done. We've had the windows for several weeks now, and it's much easier to maintain the temp in the house, and it's been exciting (really) to be able to open some windows during rainstorms and get some fresh air and listen to the rain. The windows look nice, but we didn't ask them to paint the trim, so we'll have to do that ourselves at some point. <br /> When they did the estimate, they told us about state-sponsored rebate programs we could take advantage of as well. <br /> <br /> They are a local company (yay!) and they use their own employees - no contracting out to other workers."
