"The experience of having a roof installed on a home that is attached to a neighbor has all the pitfalls that could negatively affect your relationship with your neighbor. As well as affecting the other neighbors because parking is at a premium at this city location. Paddys eliminated those pitfalls by performing in such an efficient manner that the work performed was accomplished in a single day minimizing the pain to our neighbors. As for the quality of the workmanship, Joses crew was as professional as they come. They were polite and responsive to my requests. "George and his crew did an outstanding job! They were prompt, courteous, professional and really seemed to enjoy their work. George came to meet with us to estimate the work and provided us a quote within 1 business day. From estimate to completion, the team completed the job in 5 business days.
After day 1 we didn't like one of the colors we had chosen after seeing it on the walls. "We had minor leaks caused by the recent rains and strong winds.  
Mr. Nooney came to look at the problem within two days of our first contact. He discussed
all the possible causes, and said he would not be able to determine exactly how
much work was needed until he began the work. He scheduled us for just over one
week later.
 
He and his crew arrived as promised and began to investigate two potential trouble spots.  One area was benign while the second required attention.  The roofing around fireplace chimney was improperly installed.  Jon and
his crew diagnosed the problem, installed new flashing and replaced both the tar paper and shingles in the affected area. 
The entire cost was under $400. 
The area was left neat and all debris was cleared.

"We are very pleased with the work that Don and his team did on our home. They installed a new roof. We live in a 1,300 square foot historic row home (1860’s) in West Chester borough. I got six estimates. Most were within a range of about $10,000 - $11,500, Don’s included. I know it sounds high for a house that small, but we had to have them take off cedar shingle covered tin roof and our property is very difficult to access. There is big tree out front and we don’t own the parking spots out back of our home, which are five feet or so higher than the yard (retaining wall), so there is no way to get a dumpster up to the house. The only way to get materials in or out is to carry them by hand or wheelbarrow. Going out the back, you also have to go up steps. Almost every contractor, except Don, expressed hesitation. One gave me an estimate of over $17,000. It was clear to me that the job was a difficult one and not one that many of the contractors wanted to do. Don also acknowledged that it was a challenge, but was enthusiastic about the possibility of having us as clients. Jeff and Ernie did almost all the work. They were friendly, focused, knowledgeable and hard working. If there was a question, Jeff could not answer, we took it to Don who was quick to respond. Our roof was leaking terribly by the time I started to call for quotes. It was very rainy that month and it was clear that all the contractors with whom I spoke were busy. Don did his very best to start the job asap. He even sent his guys out to tarp my roof until they could get to the job which prevented further leakage into my attic and damage to my ceilings. We now have the best looking roof on the block… by far. I’m a very “type A” personality who does her homework and has high expectations. Both my husband and I were extremely pleased with the work Don and his team completed for us. It will be a VERY long time before this house needs another roof. Thank you, Hardy Boys! "Gary Barnes and his two colleagues I met were very professional as far as courtesy , on time callbacks, etc is concerned. We paid for the "Big Deal" directly through Creative Hands, not purchasing through Angie's List as we were told that this would save us time in processing. The price is pretty good, though buyers need to be aware (and perhaps I missed this explanation somewhere, although it does make sense) that the 8-hours of work includes work for one person. If you have two workers, this is divided by 2 so 4 hours a piece. Any trips to the hardware store are taken off from the total of 8 hours. This may be a common practice.  We ended up getting "extra" 2 hours of work, but partially because the 2 outlets were not installed correctly the first time, so the electrician that Creative Hands works with came by later to fix /reinstall for a second time the outlets so that the green light is on AND the GFI outlets work.  It is a good deal and worth doing for small things. They are nice guys, but in our case,  SOME of the work was a bit sloppy. Outlet in my son's room - pre-repair (no holes around outlet) After repair to install electrical outlet in bathroom we now have gaps which require patching and outlet which was not crooked and inset oddly in wall is now oddly inset and not flat.  We have uneven area on wall above where the hole was cut  that will require more than average sanding to smooth and painting (which we expected). For whatever reason, when the GFI outlets were purchased, the covers were not. The   GFI outlet in bathroom has holes/gaps around it too, and we live in an older home(1940) with the wet set/concrete type walls. We had sweeping and vacuuming to do after they were finished, a fair amount of dust and debris was left in the upstairs hall. Blue painters tape left on all of my son's furniture, which is easy to remove, but I would have thought that this was part of clean up.  The original ink marks on the wall to show one of the options for the new outlet were left on the wall, not washed off.  So, we have additional work apart from just minor sanding and painting that my husband and I were thinking we would not have hiring a professional. Ceiling patching actually is just fine.  Downstairs outlet replacement fine and light in the kitchen fine. We had planned on a second trip out- but we are afraid to do this with our fence for fear we may be left with another problem to fix afterwards. I had explained the front door issue well, and thought perhaps the wood needed to be replaced or iron strike plate or lock so that it would close and lock. We were looking for some advice on the right way to fix this, since we were told by Creative Hands that we were in good hands, with all the years experience they have at doing this. Part of the problem I think is that it would be wise to come out first to take a look to see how things need to be fixed before just showing up and having to rush a solution."
