"Mel's missed the first appointment. I eventually received an email saying that he couldn't make the first appointment. He arrived a week later. The company did send an email and telephoned to confirm the new appointment. I originally used the Angies List deal for $199 for 20 windows. Upon arrival he counted the extra windows (15) and quoted a price of $15 per window in excess of the 20. In addition, he wanted $30 for a large window over my front foyer. We negotiated $10 per additional window and $20 for the large window. He wanted extra for a bump out window, but we settled on the same price for the other extra windows because the bump out window was not that large. I asked about doing the garage door windows (12 x 14 inches). He quoted $6 each and would not come down. I canceled the request.
Overall they did a nice job of cleaning the windows. Unfortunately, Mel's was not amenable to negotiate price so I give them a C rating.If his prices were more lenient he could have had a better overall check.

"I purchased their big deal for chimney inspection and cleaning ($99).  They contacted me promptly and we arranged for a date for the service.  They arrived on time and began the service quickly.  Both the office staff and the chimney sweeps were personable and professional.  Following the cleaning and inspection the senior tech recommended replacing the existing chimney crown and replacing some missing mortar between flue pipes.  I accepted their recommendation and estimate ($240, which included a $150 credit from the big deal) and we arranged a second visit 2 weeks later.  I was not able to be on-site for the visit, but it was not required.  They arrived and performed the repair work as scheduled.  I arrived home to find the work completed and the area cleaned up.  The crown looks a lot better now.  I discovered a masonry hammer someone had accidentally left behind and the company sent someone around to pick it up when I called.

"Roberto was very responsive. After an initial call and estimate via text/email, he showed up within 24 hours to fix a jagged, 4 foot wide hole in our drywall. When he arrived, we pointed out even more work that needed to be done (nearby door trim and frame repair). Surprise! Roberto worked all day and exceeded our expectations. I was truly amazed when I saw the completed job. It was so perfect, it was impossible to tell the wall/trim had ever been damaged. In fact, Roberto had not only repaired the damaged area, he primed and painted the entire wall. The care and attention Roberto took with our home reflects the ethic of a true craftsman. "After I contacted Anthony at George's Painting I was called back quickly and arranged for an estimate for the replacement of some rotted trim and the painting and sealing of the new trim on my townhome in Frederick, MD
The estimate was reasonable and I set up a date for the work to be completed.  Due to some weather issues, the date for completion was changed.  On the rescheduled date the crew showed up and quickly got to work.  Very quickly it was determined that I had a rather large hole in the peak of the roof, near some of the rotted trim.  A photo was taken for me and the owner, Anthony, called me to tell me that while the men there couldn't repair the hole, they would temporarily patch it.  I then arranged to get a quote from him for the repair of the hole and replacement of some shingles that were missing or loose.
Anthony got back with me in about a week with the new quote (given the holiday, that seemed fair to me), which again seemed reasonable.  Again, the weather intervened and we moved the roof repair date several times, but ultimately warmer weather arrived and they just now finished the roof repair.
It was done competently and quickly, with Anthony coming by at the end to make sure I was happy with the work.
I will be calling them later this year for some more trim work on the house and possibly a full roof replacement.  I would recommend them to anyone that wants quick, competent and friendly service.
