"My first experience was excellent. One guy. He took his time, did a very good job, was neat and pointed out slight stains on the furniture that could not be removed (sofas were older and had been in storage for months). Second experience was completely different. Two guys. In a rush. They missed stains, were rough with the cleaning, left water on the wood floor and clearly were in a rush to get somewhere else. The rugs and furniture they were asked to clean were all less than 2 years old."

"I contacted Stanley Steemer to clean a area rug in my basement. The technician came and inspected the rug. He suggested that it be removed cleaned at their facilities. There was an incremental cost increase but the technician and I worked through that. I was told the rug would be ready in a week. Called Stanley Steemer after a week and asked them where the rug was and they said it usually takes two weeks. Didn't hear anything from them after two weeks. Finally received a call at the end of third week saying carpet was ready. Delivery was fine. I would have given them lower scores but I don't want to be a total jerk about it.  My major issue with the company was the responsiveness. They need to communicate with the customer. Also the receipt I received clearly states that payment is due after the work is completed. I was charged immediately that day which gave me little recourse in the situation. <br />"

"<p>Josh (who provided the estimate) said to not expect a "wow" effect - well, we are wow'd!!!!!  We have a white and grey river rock bathroom floor and the grout needed to be cleaned again.  I had previously hired one of the other grout cleaning companies and was not thrilled with the result.  We were even contemplating replacing the floor.  I must say that we are thrilled with the results!!!  Not only were the guys prompt, they were early.  there were very careful (took off their shoes to not get snow and salt in the house) </p> They put down a drop cloth and corner guards to protect the paint.  Once they got upstairs, they discovered they could bring the hose through the window which would save having to drag it through the house.  Nick and John were hard working and professional and very nice, too. We will have them back next year!! <br />"
