Gregg came out to repair my screen door and install a metal bar so the cat cannot pull the screen out. He also changed florescent light bulbs, cleaned my gutters and ceiling vent fan, and tightened up the handle on my shower. It was a very good experience for me, he was friendly and professional, and I would use his services again."

Great experience. Dan and his wife Tania came out to give me the estimate on the window work. While here, I asked  about the concrete work and was told Adam ( the son) could also do that type of work. I went with the company for both repairs.
Dan and Adam came at the agreed time, did both repairs. Also, great clean-up, only evidence of their being here is the good looking work!

"Erik performed work on a rental property I own and which was left by the previous tenants in a ramshackle condition, including installing entry and screen doors in the kitchen, replacing in second floor hallway.  Erik was very conscientious as stayed with the work until it was completed meaning that he came back a second day to finish some work that he was unable to complete on day 1 because installing screen and entry doors in kitchen required some extra trimming back on the frame to fit the portal.  Erik installed locks and deadbolts on the front and kitchen doors, tore out and replaced some defective subflooring.  He tore out a vanity and medicine cabinet and replaced it new ones.  He installed existing baseboard which had been removed to repair damage from tenants' pets and installed some new baseboard to replace those that were too damaged.  Erik also repaired and replaced some damaged toe plate in the kitchen.  Overall, Erik did a great job.  He went about his work in a professional manner.  Although some of the work he was asked to do was not the most pleasant, he always maintained a pleasant and professional attitude.  And his price was VERY reasonable.

"I am very satisfied with the service provided given the price we payed. I quoted 3 moves total and Moving Ahead came in $500 less expensive than the next quote before I purchased the Angie's list coupon.
After filling out  brief questionnaire via email, the rep sent a firm Flat Rate quote to do all the work in one day. I was nervous given the brevity of the questions but according to the rep, if it can fit in the truck, it would be included in the price. In the end, all the work was completed for the original price. They sent the 26' truck with a 3 man crew of very large guys (think college football players- we even confirmed that one of them played). The guys knew how to pack a truck and there was plenty of space left over.
I did not give Moving Ahead all A's because the crew showed up 1.5 hours late according to my confirmation sheet. I was told 11AM start via email(no window), the lead's sheet said 11AM- 12PM start, they showed up at 12:30PM. Not a big issue except I wish they would have called to let me know they were running late. It was a Saturday and could not get a hold of the crew via the office number so I was panicking about them not coming. I would suggest Moving Ahead train their leads to do a courtesy call 30 min before the crew arrives whether or not they are running late.
Overall, I am very happy with the rate and service and would use them again.

"Grover came within hours of my calling to give me an estimate.  He was professional and quick.  After I called to say I would like him to do the work, he called me when he said he would to set up the work for the following week.

Grover arrived when he said he would and worked efficiently to get the job done.  He communicated what he was doing and answered the questions I had.  He let me know when he was leaving for lunch, and explained everything he had done when he was finished.

I called two other companies for estimates.  One was unavailable for a week to give an estimate (Grover was finishing the job at the time the other company was supposed to come for an estimate!) and the other was almost triple the cost!  Even before I got the second estimate emailed to me, I called Woody Construction to schedule the work.  I was comfortable with Grover, especially since he was the one who would be doing the work (and I saw in other reviews that he is a 3rd generation mason).

I felt Grover was honest in his estimate - he told me what needed to be done vs. what were just "nuisance cracks" that would just come back again (and also suggested a way to deal with these).  He went above and beyond and was very fair in his price.

I would not hesitate to use Woody Construction again, and plan to recommend him to a friend who needs extensive work done on her front step.  I would recommend him to anyone else who has need of his services as well!  I wish all home repair experiences were this easy and straightforward!"
