"My Old Range oven controller failed after 26 years. And with no replacement parts available, I was facing a very difficult and expensive replacement prospect for the 40" custom range countertop. I reached out to Neli and quickly got an appointment. We chatted over the phone while Tom was looking at the range. it was so easy and it put my mind at ease, we could fix the beast and be back to baking. Tom sent a follow up email with a link to a tech company that would fix the electronic controller board. He included the specific parts number which turns out was the right one, not the one specified in the manufacturer's online documentation! I shipped the broken parts out. The repaired controller came back just in a few days. The part was installed and range operational before my wife was ready for her morning tea. I hugged the old stove. Working and Neli was an incredible experience, so easy and it saved so much money. I highly recommend Neli, what a great service!"

"It was extremely unfortunate that the triage person answering the phones was so clueless and unhelpful. When someone came out to look at our oven which wasn't functioning, the tech told us to first try cleaning the oven and then he could advise us on possibly replacing parts IF the cleaning didn't work. We paid him a full >$100 trip charge. After cleaning the oven, it worked fine, and the tech didn't need to come at all to tell us to try cleaning it first, as this advice could have been given by phone. Similarly, we had a leaking dishwasher that needed a part replaced which the tech was able to diagnose WITHOUT seeing the dishwasher, however he came over, diagnosed the problem with >$100 trip charge without even needing to look at the dishwasher and then we had to pay for a separate visit to replace the malfunctioning part of the dishwasher. We even had a photo of the dishwasher part that was leaking, but the person answering the phone said the diagnostic trip was a necessity, even though it was completely unnecessary for this knowledgeable tech and everything could have been done by phone. I found that Paul was a pleasure to work with, however Omega charged us >$200 in unnecessary trip charges due to the ignorance of their answering service, so we will never be able to use them again."

"It went well for refrig, but part for oven was flawed. We were not charged for defective part or labor.; new part was ordered. Todd was very thorough. Had he not checked all oven functions before he left, he would not have discovered the defective part. I appreciated his effort, honesty and skill!"

"Emailed company for an estimate to repair or replace some interior doors. Got a prompt reply and set up a time for the appointment. The owner assessed the job and told us that repair was all that was needed, not replacement. He also gave us some insight into a future job that we are considering and could consider the company for. The repairs were able to be scheduled within a week and the job was well done. Only snag was a little mix up in the time that the job was to start, but this was very minor. Overall we are very happy with the experience. We very much appreciate the experience level of the people we dealt with (Jim and Tom).

"The salesperson was clear (mostly) and the work was done on time and well -- finished in one day and cleaned up very well. My one caveat is that the salesperson clearly stated that the work would be done by a local contractor, which was, I guess, technically true, since it looks like a local contractor subcontracted to a group of men (Polish or Russian) who drove up from Chicago and did the work. I was led to believe it would be done by local workers so that was a bit off-putting"

"My experience with Discount Appliance was by far the best experience I have had working with a contractor. If you are in need of air conditioner repair, this is the company for you. I had a very unusual situation and after talking to quite a few others, had really given up hope that this could be resolved. Right from the very beginning the company was helpful, supportive, and extremely professional. They were on time, got the job done, and were overly kind to a very nervous customer. "The technician emptied the freezer, which was in the basement, to work on the part that needed repair. Then he neglected to put anything back into the freezer, including a turkey I had bought for Christmas and a rack of ribs. Two days after he left, I went out of town for two weeks. The turkey actually exploded and spewed its liquid all over everything, which had to be discarded. I let AHS know and they couldn't even bother to call me or follow up on this. I'm considering not renewing my contract with them because of the quality (or lack thereof) of many of the providers they send."
