"Aventus replaced an exterior door for us. They were very professional and friendly, did a great job on the project. When we needed something changed they understood and corrected that right away. We especially appreciated their consistent communications before, during and after the project, including their quick response to questions. This is the second project Aventus did for us, the other being a major bathroom remodel. Our experience with that larger job was also very positive. Thank you, Aventus!"

"Ken was professional and responsive during the quoting process, but that quickly changed. Our opinion is he oversold and underdelivered. One being his emphasis on communication, however, his subs/employees would arrive and ask me what they needed to do. There were non-stop errors, low quality work, and avoidable damage created in other areas of our home. Many (not all) of his subs/employees were careless and not experienced enough to be called professional home remodelers. Ken told me he knew his crew and worked with them for many years, yet, a newer team member of his initiated a highly aggressive fight in my home with another employee, where expletives were being shouted between them and in front of me and my small child. They were later captured on my Ring camera laughing about us being scared. Ken did not care when we called to discuss it. Most unprofessional and disappointing contractor we have ever used in 10 years of being homeowners. "

"Dave and team were very professional! When giving me an estimate, Dave gave me a few ideas and I took them. So glad I did! He is also knowledgeable of building codes and completed the project for me on an escalated time line. I would hire them again 100%!"

FAQs for addition to existing structure building service projects in Cicero, IN

You can typically raise your roof by four to eight feet, depending on your home's structure and roof design. The exact amount depends on factors like roof slope and framing support. Raising the roof creates additional interior space, enhances natural light, and increases your home's value. Consult a professional to determine the feasible height increase for your home.

Yes, you need a building permit to raise your roof. Obtaining a building permit ensures your project complies with local building codes and safety regulations. A professional contractor can assist with the permit and inspection process and ensure all legal and safety requirements are met. Your contractor will be familiar with building codes in your area, which can differ between cities or states.

While it's possible to raise a flat roof, it requires extensive structural modifications. Flat roofs lack the attic space and support structures of pitched roofs, so raising them involves significant engineering to ensure safety and durability. This process can be complex and costly, so professional assessment is essential before undertaking a project of this magnitude.
