"The Assured Construction team helped us transform a drab two season sun porch into a four-season sanctuary. The team brought all the things you look for in a contractor and more – highly skilled and creative craftsman, strong communicators, and respectful house guests who cleaned up each evening before wrapping up for the day. The Assured team were thoughtful partners who offered meaningful solutions as we bumped into old home unknowns. As the project came to life the kind people who shared our home with us over several months became friends. More than a year later when we had a warranty issue with new windows, the team walked every step of the way with us to see that it was fully resolved. We highly recommend this amazing team!"

"Floor Coverings International- Cincinnati East performed another outstanding job for us. We were doing a repair remodeling which required removal and replacement of carpeting. Katie Fitzgerald came to our house within 24 hours to access the project. She understood what we needed. Then made all the measurements, gave suggestions and recommended appropriate carpeting. Her crew then removed the carpet and returned on scheduled days to install the new carpet. They are prompt, reliable, professional and did a great job."

"Excellent overall experience from sales to installation. For anyone not familiar with Bochrath, you may be intimidated as you enter. They have such beautiful displays that those accustomed to buying flooring from big box stores may feel they don’t belong here. The pricing is very competitive, there is no sales pressure, just helpful employees. The installation teams work exclusively for Bochrath. That’s the big difference. Bochrath offers a lifetime warranty on installation issues. Other stores offer one year. Think about that. They have to do it right."

"We are so happy with our new Frisby roof! We originally contacted Frisby because we were getting water in our basement and dining room floor. They came over very quickly to look our water damage & figure out where the water was coming from. They quoted a great price to replace our 20 year old roof and communicated with us on all aspects of replacing the roof, giving us samples of roof colors, etc. Our new roof was installed yesterday in one day, by their very professional workers, with Frisby showing us photos of roof damage/repairs throughout the day!! The workers also left our property so neat that you would hardly know they were there all day! All around great company to work with!"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Cincinnati, OH

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
