"I called Mike early this morning and because he took the time to drive over to our place before his next job our carpet to new tile transitions on concrete floors and our carpet to new tile transitions on wooden floors is done!  I actually considered doing this myself, I am so glad I didn't!   I would have had to purchase all the materials and what if I'd cut too much of the carpet!   <br /> Mike also took the time to repair the carpet to tile around our front door and fireplace that after seven years of wear and tear began to unravel.  It now looks brand new.   <br /> Thank you Mike!   <br />"

"Technicare sent a nice and professional young man to our home for an estimate for WoodenBlind Cleaning, Windows and screens inside and out, and carpet cleaning in four rooms. The work was done on three separate days. My blinds were all taken to Technicare facility early in the morning, cleaned thoroughly and returned and hung by the end of the same day. Another day carpets were cleaned, and they did a nice job. The Windows were cleaned inside and out as well as the screens on another day. I will use them again, they were very good"

"All I can say is they did an incredible job!!  We have had several businesses over the years clean the carpet in the master bedroom and it always looked like it was just permanent stains and we would have to have the carpet completely replaced.  Instead I decided I would give another company one last try and all I can say is they did an INSANELY WONDERFUL job!!!  The carpet almost looks like it never had been worn!!!!  I will use them again!! <br />"

"Carpet companies should all be like this.  This is a small, family owned business.  The family sells the carpet, the family (father and sons) installs the carpet.  And they do a terrific job and a very competitive price.  This job required a great deal of craftsmanship, for example, each of 20 stairs requires the carpet to be sewn all the way around.  It was all done perfectly. <br /> They gave us exactly what we ordered, they did it on time, they were careful with our furniture and they cleaned up completely before they left. <br />"

"Monte was patient with us as we delayed placing the order for several months from the original quote. Not sure if we got the carpeting we needed but it was close. Monte's business style is very informal: no itemized quote, hand-written, runs the business from his cell phone usually on the job. We were very pleased with his installers. They went well out of their way to provide a timely and quality installation: job was scheduled to last 2 days but the installers extended their workday to finish in 1 day. Monte's quote didn't include a small bathroom which we had modified since his quote. Monte and the installers adjusted the job and schedule on the fly and re-carpeted that room. For equivalent work, Monte is very reasonable. In our other home in another region, the quotes for less work and less carpeting is considerably higher, carpet quality and price notwithstanding. <br />"

"We had a piece of the same carpet and he used a small piece of it to patch the ripped carpet.  The extra piece of carpet was not worn like the carpet, but since he only used a small piece of it, we could hardly see the difference.  He told us that even that difference would even out and disappear as we walked on it.  Jim also told us that he has seen this type of damage done by a cat before, and gave us a tip on how to prevent it in the future (by putting a piece of plastic mat down over the doorway before shutting the cat in the room - makes sense but I'm not sure we would have thought of it!) <br /> Jim was very polite and professional and we'd definitely hire him again! <br />"

"The first pair of workers were prompt, courteous, and took care with my furniture.  They were very insistent that I inspect the carpeting after the job was done and voice my satisfaction, which I did.  However, when the carpeting dried, the pet stains that I wanted removed were still visible. <br /> I called and they sent out a second team to re-clean the stained areas.  This team was not as courteous and did not move my furniture back when they were done (even after I mentioned that I could not do it myself due to recent surgery). <br /> The second team was not able to do anything to help the stains, and simply had an 'oh,well' attitude, and left. <br /> I called the company the next day, and they explained that there are no guarantees on pet stains.  I didn't find this in writing anywhere and have hired other professional carpet cleaners who were able to get the same types of stains out the first time with no issues. <br /> I would not use this company again.  If you have pets, I recommend Master Clean.  Cheaper and better quality work.  I will be hiring them to complete the job that Martin didn't finish. <br />"

"Our over all experience with America's Floor Source was amazing. It was so convenient to have Ed come to our home with Samples of everything from Carpet to Laminate Flooring. He was very experienced and knowledgeable to help us make the right decision for our flooring project as well as safe and social distancing while measuring our home for a quotation. After reviewing all options of carpet or Laminate flooring we decided to have our old carpeting replaced with new carpeting thru out the Dining Room, Living Room, Stairs and Hallway. The carpet and padding we picked out were all in stock and ready for installation. When the installers arrived they were very friendly and professional and got the job done in one day moving all the furniture, taking out the existing caret, and replacing the new and looked great. My husband and I loved the new carpeting so much we called Ed and decided to do our 3 bedrooms as well."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Circleville, OH

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
