"They went the extra mile in filling, patching and sanding this floor which had been covered with carpet for over 40 years. I've had work like this done before and they exceeded my expectations. Thanks?"

"Randy came out quickly and gave the best price on the estimate. On the day of the work he brought Buddy with him and gave the job over into Buddy's hands. The tile, 12 inch squares for the whole job, was supposed to be 5 12x12 tiles in a row by the tub was not supposed to be cut to be sticking out only 6 inches. (The tile being replaced was smaller and was laid in a 6and quot; strip.) Buddy laid a 6and quot; hardy-board base and cut the 12and quot; tiles in half for the tub area. Also when you tap on the tiles, you can hear hollow sounds near the edges, which can result in broken tiles if too much pressure is applied, as happened when carpet was installed next to the tile. The carpet installer is coming out to fix the tile, BUT the cracked corner of tile that broke off had no mortar underneath the area where it cracked. <br />"

"The carpet layers could not properly re-install two bi-fold doors which had to be removed for the carpet installation. I called and the same carpet layers came out and still did not put them back properly. We called the sales person at least three times with no resolution. We even visited the store to ask for them to send out a crew that could fix the doors- they took our information, but never followed up. I was satisfied with the carpet and the actual carpet installation- but when there was a problem, they totally dropped the ball. <br />"

"Arrived within timescale given, introduced themselves and explained what they were going to do and how. Constantly keep me informed of how it was going and asked if I was pleased as each room was complete. I was given a demonstration of the tile and grout service, which I am considering having. Pleasant and chatty but not intrusive or pushy. Left carpet protections under furniture left in rooms ( 2 large tables). Kevin and Scott did a wonderful job <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Claremore, OK

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
