"We had banging & whistling noise from steam radiator pipes and the very old (but good) oil boiler during very cold days. He diagnosed what needed to be done. It was a serious amount of work, replacing a very old, badly corroded pipes and regular cleaning of the boiler. We could have had serious flooding if this had not been noticed and replaced it. Unlike other person's diagnosis, he knew exactly what needed to be done. It took three days to finish everything. He was very professional, experienced and very thorough and we are so relieved to have oil boiler /steam radiator running smoothly. Keeping an old house is an on-going job and it was so nice to have someone work very professionally. He offered warranty as well, so we know he is there for us should there be any issues. "We had several power hits on Sunday and when the power stabilized, our outside A/C unit would not start. I called 2 or 3 service companies and left messages as they were closed on Sunday. I got a call back from Orange County Mechanical on Sunday evening and the tech apologized for not being able to get to us that night as he had some more calls to make but could stop by in the morning. The tech showed up at 7:20am on Monday and we had A/C by 8:00am. He had to replace the capacitor in the unit. The service call and parts charges were very reasonable. He delivered/installed a top quality water heater, explained everything very clearly, replaced broken pressure reducing value that caused water heater to fail and cleaned up after himself. He charged me a flat rate labor charge even though job took longer than usual due to issues with the way my home was plumbed. As far as I can tell, he does not mark up the price of the parts he installs. Also, Michael recommended a man to handle water/mold issue who stopped by later same day to discuss basement mold situation and gave me a free estimate--also a quality guy.
