"We've waited to file this review until after we finally had enough moisture to test the effectiveness of the work. The 2013 February/March snows and subsequent rains have proven the work was outstanding. The job supervisor was Gavin and he was as professional and knowledgeable as could be.  He gave us a clear, concise estimate the Friday before Thanksgiving and the window well work and grading was done the next week in less than 2 days by 2 other Leaky Cellar workers. The basement crack repair was done the week after by the same 2 young men and only took 1.5 days. Our cost as shown above was after the 10% Leaky Cellar Angie's List discount. Jobs well done."

"I hired Foundation 1 after receiving their quote and 2 other similar companies for a drainage mitigation issue in our backyard. Foundation 1 was fairly priced and had a more comprehensive, well engineered solution. From start to finish, I was impressed by their good communication, customer service. Special thanks to Cassell on the quote, Stephanie on scheduling, and Freddie, job foreman. The 2-day job went smoothly, Freddie and crew were professional, courteous, timely and left the job site in good shape. They went above and beyond to complete the work as specified. Freddie took initiative and improved a trouble area in my landscaping which improved the overall drainage. For anyone who has done remodeling, construction or hiring contractors - it can be stressful to chose the right one - someone trusted/ethical and knowledgeable. Foundation 1 is a company I trust and their quality staff reflect their quality service and standards."

"The foundation pulled away from the windows on the north side of the house. I had no idea if this was going to be an extreme job or easy. I did not know anything about foundations.  I got a quick lesson from 5 different employees from 5 different companies that came out to provide an estimate. Each person provided more information.  That's why it is always a good idea to have several bids for any work to be done on your home.  Dennis provided the estimate for Pro Foundation. He was friendly.  After accessing my foundation, Dennis began by telling me that I would probably need 3 piers installed.  Eventually, he said Pro Foundation could install only one pier (where the most damaged part of the foundation existed),  and he suggested along with the one pier, they could inject high density polyurethane foam underneath the footing of the porch (about 20 ft). The foam came with a steep price and only included a 3 year warranty.  I did a little research into this polyurethane foam and asked a few other employees from other companies that provided estimates about it. No one really offered me a reason to believe that it would be a viable solutions, so I choose not to take this route and decided to go with another company.  Having said that, I did not call Dennis back regarding the initial suggestion to have 3 piers installed. To be fair, he did tell me that was an option.  I just happen to find another company I felt was a better fit.

"The owner, John, was prompt at scheduling an appointment and providing an estimate.  John was friendly and answered all my questions without making me feel rushed or that I was wasting his time.  Once we agreed to have ClassiConcrete do the work, I asked John to provide me with a date and estimated start time, so I could plan accordingly.  Despite asking for this date multiple times, John's crew showed up unannounced and uninformed about what the project is they were supposed to doing (they started moving stuff out of the garage).  After I received a call that they were at the house starting the work and cleared up all the confusion, the crew worked did an overall okay job at pouring the new driveway and sidewalk.  However, once I was able to inspect the work, I noticed they had not moved any of the landscaping pavers, but rather just concreted over parts of them.  I called the owner to voice my frustration with the way the job was completed and ask that he propose a solution.  The owner agreed to visit the project review the issue, but then avoid my calls several days.  Ultimately, he finally sent his crews over to fix the issue about 2 weeks later.  While, overall the workmanship was good (other than the oversight of paving part of the landscaping), the lack of communication from the owner was extremely frustrating.
While I might consider hiring ClassiConcrete again, I would have to set all the expectations upfront.  Plus, I would not agree to pay the remaining balance until I was able to inspect and approve the work.
