"I can't more highly recommend Decker's Carpet Cleaning. I've used them for almost 7 years now and their professionalism, customer service, and quality of work is top notch. They are great to work with, and my carpets look brand new every time they are done. You can not find a company that will give you a better result with your carpet cleaning than Decker's!"

"Floors For Living – T. Laborde To Whom It May Concern: This past year was a difficult one. Our house in Kingwood that was never supposed to flood, did. Five feet in five hours. The aftermath was terrible. Shady fly-by-night contractors were coming out of the wood-work. Finding quality at a fair price was extremely difficult. As someone who works in construction and is a certified inspector, and also one who has access to lots of skilled labor and referrals, I can honestly say that I had it much better than most. But, it was really a struggle having to watch, inspect, argue and reargue quality. The one exception in this entire experience was working with Josh Whaley at Floors-For-Living. They were fantastic. FYI, I secured four quotations from other companies. Some were much higher. Floors For Living gave a very fair price. Not the cheapest, but when you consider the value of their warranty and the quality of their installers (Jorge Rodriguez- very professional, honest and polite), the quality of their surface preparation and their superior leveling system, grouts and adhesives, it was a total winner! No, I’m not a family member and I’m not getting anything for writing this. I just feel that FFL earned it with their outstanding performance. Also, as a side note, I used to own rental properties and I’ve worked with and replaced about 10-15 floors over the past 30+ years. This company put the other to shame. We’ve got a few other non-floor items to complete, but when neighbors and friends visit our home, they way WOW! The decision to use the wood-grained plank ceramic was a great one. My wife is a decorator and she wanted wood and was resistant to ceramic. Now, she is a believer also. I hope this helps you make an informed decision. I’m really happy with mine. Incidentally, I met the owner and shared my feelings about the project. Very impressive guy with a great business model built on quality and repeat business. Experience the difference! T. "A+ 10 star rating. Flaherty’s is the most professional, courteous, & knowledgeable company we’ve ever used. We replaced 2200 sq.ft hardwood floors, using their expert, detailed, hardworking team of installers, who were neat, clean, & friendly. They never pushed us to make a decision and were responsive to our questions and concerns. We can’t imagine going anywhere else, and they weren’t the cheapest quote we got! We chose them because we TRUSTED them. INTEGRITY wins!"

"We scheduled a move out carpet cleaning with a few patch repairs. After job was done, the carpet reeked of dirty water and patch was not done correctly. I called the office & asked them to send a supervisor over to see the job that was done & to smell the odor but they only sent a technician with a can of deodorizer to mask the odor. They offered to refund us. $50. Mind you. We used this company for 9 years and this is how they treated us. They can keep their $50."

"Absolutely do not use this company. We spent over $20,000 on engineered hardwood flooring for our home, and the installation was handled negligently. This company failed to perform a proper moisture test and did not apply a moisture barrier sealant on the concrete slab prior to installation ? both of which are standard industry practices for slab foundations. We trusted their expertise and assumed any required preparation would be recommended, but it was not. As a result, our downstairs flooring has been completely ruined due to moisture intrusion coming directly from the slab. Instead of taking responsibility, the company is now attempting to shift the blame to us, claiming it?s a foundation problem ? which it is not. Moisture levels in concrete naturally fluctuate with seasonal changes, and proper testing and barrier application would have prevented this issue entirely. We are extremely disappointed in both their workmanship and their refusal to stand behind their installation. "

"Every person at Buffaloe Floors & Up that I interacted with in the process of getting new LVP flooring for my kitchen & den was friendly, professional & knowIedgeable. It was an overall positive experience from my first contact with Ronnie, the Sales Rep. to the completion of the installation. The years of operation of the company & the years of experience that Ronnie & the installers have in the flooring business was very reassuring to me. And Ronnie was always accessible either via phone calls or e-mails. Very professional! Pricing, warranties, variety & availability of products was a plus too. I would highly recommend Buffaloe Floors & Up to a friend as it was recommended to me."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Cleveland, TX

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
