"Juan and his helper did a beautiful job installing a limestone wall for my front yard flower bed. They also put dirt in and even drilled holes for drainage, which I'd never thought of. They were on time, prompt, and Juan always communicated what was being done, what should be done, and kept me updated on the timeline of the project. These gentlemen were outstanding. I would definitely use JCD and DF Services again!"

"<p>Juan and his men did a great job. He was very accommodating with me in helping with design and stone selection. Very patient and easy going. His crew showed up on time every day and worked hard. Very polite crew of guys. anyways they extended a 40ft patio addition. This included a 4inch slab with rebarb, bench seating, and a fireplace. I have had nothing but compliments on the work. So far, very strong and sturdy. All of this took them about 41/2 days. He was pretty true to his word on time estimates. After the job was done they cleaned up and no mess was left.  I would definitely consider JMG Construction for next project. I have before, during, and after pics on the job but can't see where to add them to this review.</p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

"Work completed to date includes removal of a raised deck and construction of a flagstone patio in its place, strategic placement of stones to insure proper drainage, and the installation of shrubs, vines, and ground cover—all of which have transformed our outdoor living space. Keith is a perfectionist and his work is outstanding."

"We had a leak in our sprinkler system that was pretty severe, called several other companies and none of them could send anyone out.  Tutson came out a day a later was able to identify the issue and fix it.  Then also check out system and found we had broken sprinkler head in the back yard and fixed it as well.  They were very professional and we will be using them in the future for all our sprinkler needs. <br />"

"This company did an overall good job.  The only exception is that they basically cut my crape myrtle in half after I discussed with the owner that I did not want it trimmed down that far.  The owner apologized and stated that he communicated my desire to his crew and that he would have a talk with them. <br />"

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Clifton, TX

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
