"Ruben and his team were extremely courteous, hard-working and reliable. They did three projects for us in a 1980-build SFH house we just purchased in Vienna, VA. One was a complete remodel of our Master Bathroom on the 2nd Floor. The second was a remodel of the old brick & brass fireplace in the family room, and finally the creation of a new room-wide step down between the kitchen and the family room giving the entire area an open appearance. The bathroom was originally an 80's style monstrosity with green marble, shiny brass fixtures and a huge black jacuzzi - we changed that to a clean look with grey slate, some moroccan tiling in the shower area and a white soaking tub. The fireplace was re-faced with stacked stone to the ceiling, creating space for shelving and a TV mounting area in the middle. Looks great now and is highly functional. The step just ties the two rooms together for a clean uncluttered look. Ruben is a very friendly person and a great listener who puts his clients interests first. He discussed the projects in detail with me and offered his suggestions when asked. He takes a personal interest in making sure things are done in the right way and communicates regularly with his customer. He is also very knolwedgeable about his trade-craft. At the end he also repainted the hallway, stairwell and the room walls to have a nice finish. My wife and I are very happy about the end-result, we have a lovely home. The only thing I wished is if the project had been concluded a bit earlier on time, but I know that the vast vast majority of projects go over the schedule. I would recommend Ruben, Nancy & his team at Two Bros without any hesitation."

"My wife and I have used Two By Four quite a few times so far. They installed laminate flooring replacing some of the subfloor at the time and while the subfloor was up added ceiling lights to the room below. We had them come back and add ceiling lights, fan boxes, and smoke detectors to 4 bedrooms. They have also done plumbing work in the guest bathroom and the kitchen. They installed a mail box that required a concrete pad and added stonework around it for finish. Finally they replaced some siding and attic vents that were damaged by hail. Every job has gone smoothly, they arrive when expected are friendly and clean while on the job site. We never had any cause to be upset. They have been able to do some jobs like the kitchen sink leak on very short notice. Overall very happy with Gary, Jr, and the entire crew."

"Mike and his crew renovated our basement bathroom and laundry room in 2015. They built a full bathroom including brand new plumbing and a new laundry room. Their work in the basement was beautiful, came in at budget, and stood the test of time, so we had them back for our kitchen and upstairs bathroom in early 2019 to finish all of the major renovations in our 1952 townhouse. Communication with Mike and Davis was great, we always knew what to expect which was crucial for such a large project. Their crew is respectful, taking off their shoes and sweeping up everyday, covering furniture, etc. They are proud of their work and it shows. We love our new kitchen and bathroom! "We selected this company because we wanted to renovate our master bathroom and add lighting in certain other rooms. They could do both for us. Having recently been through a master bathroom remodel in another house in another region, we knew what we were getting into, and what we wanted. They gave us an early estimate, which seemed reasonable, and wanted several thousand dollars to draw up the design (note: we didn't change the floor plan and we knew basically what we wanted). We met with subcontractors to pick out vanities, tile, and granite. We already had picked out our hardware and fixtures. After this, they gave us our actual estimate - about 60 percent higher than their original estimate! We tried to make sense of their rationale but at the end of the day there was a high dollar amount we could not account for, despite repeated questions asked by us. We did not select the highest end extras that would have escalated the cost. At the end, we went with another contractor (who came in at our original estimate and delivered a beautiful product), selected an electrician on our own, and chose to forego our money for their (TCB) design fee."

"Matt yusufhanoglu and his company Living colors did a phenomenal job in restoring my 1958 ranch house into a gem. The house was empty and in terrible condition on the inside. With the help of his architect Matt was able to present me with multiple choices based on the open floor plan that I wanted in the main living area. This included tearing down an attached room and building a beautiful sunlit addition that extended the kitchen area and added a sun room. Matt and his site lead Carlos also creatively found space to add a full second bathroom to make the house an efficient 3 bedroom, 2 bath house. I can’t say enough about the quality of the work and the amazing interior design selections such as cabinets, windows, flooring and associated hardware that made this house my dream come true."

"This was definitely a 5 star operation from the initial discussions to the finishing touches! For a major renovation and upgrade to our master bathroom we reviewed potential contractors and their customer comments. VKB stood out. Our VKB designer Sean clearly has artistic talent and lots of design experience. He patiently worked with us, showing us 3D design options as we considered alternative configurations and materials. When we were satisfied with the design, Sean transitioned us smoothly to the build phase, introducing Jason as our project manager and Walter as our crew chief. Sean personally familiarized Jason with the project, inviting us to share our thoughts and any concerns. During the renovation, Walter and his crew would carefully isolate the MBR work from the rest of the house, sealing off the room and path to the front door with plastic barriers and floor coverings every morning and remove them every evening. Everyone was polite and sensitive to our living space. Jason was responsive to our wishes to refine several design aspects as the work proceeded, and Walter and his crew smoothly made the alterations. After the main construction was completed Jason remained very attentive to our ‘punch list’ of remaining details and our questions until all had been resolved. Walter ensured very high-quality work down to the finest detail. All the work from design to completion was well within the timeframe we had hoped. In the end, we have a beautiful MBR well beyond our original expectations!"

"We used Sam to fully remodel our master bathroom and do some cosmetic work in our guest bathroom. We took down walls and started completely from scratch. Sam did all of the demolition, prep work, plumbing, electrical and installed some very intricate marble mosaic tile, for us on the floor of the bathroom and in the shower. Sam is punctual, responsive and extremely knowledgable about his craft. His men do incredible work when it comes to the finishes and he keeps a very clean workspace. All along the process Sam was present at the job and addressed any minor issues we had along the way immediately. You will not find any better bang for your buck in this area. I highly recommend him and we just hired him again to do even more work in our home."

"NHR did our master bathroom renovation. Everything went exactly as they said it would. No surprises. The workmanship is excellent because they have a team of people who are experts in their craft. For example, for tile install there was one team. For plumbing and electric there was another. I also had weekly/daily updates from various of the project managers. Everyone from the demolition crew to the craftsmen to the management worked incredibly well together. This was the smoothest renovation we’ve encountered. This could be a good or bad thing for you, but they are almost a one stop shop. The only items we needed to find on our own were the mirrors and the handle hardware. They sourced everything else, and installed everything. But if you’re more particular on a specific aesthetic, like the shower head or the faucets, you can let them know this and they will let you do your own styling. I ended up doing that with the bathroom lights for the mirrors. Overall, A+!!"
