I have hired Umar and his team on two occasions: once when a washing machine failed, and again when a dishwasher spilled water all over my kitchen and ceased working. When you call, Umar, the owner will answer your call and listen to all you have to say about your failing appliance. He has seen it before; he offers an evaluation and orders the necessary parts so that when His team arrives at your door they will have what they need to fix your appliance. They get the job done! The team is respectful of your property. They wear masks and shoe covers when they enter your home. They explain the issue and the required repair. They are reasonably priced! What more can we ask? "Tech came out on Friday 11/22/24 at 6:00 which was after I was home from work. Quickly diagnosed problem and told me a dryer fuse had burned out. He came out the next day and repaired the dryer very quickly and cleaned up. Now I could have opted to replace just that fuse but he told me there were 3 fuses and the other fuses could go anytime as the dryer was at least 15 years old. It would have been cheaper just to replace the one fuse but i told him to replace all 3. That would have been penny wise & dollar foolish as if another fuse went that would have been another service call fee from that company or another plus the cost of parts & labor. I was also advised to have the dryer cleaned every 2 years which I will do. I'll probably look into how to do it myself as I am pretty handy and always looking to save money. It was a lot of money to pay for the repair at once but cheaper then a home warranty. I have had bad experiences with more then one home warranty company and have cancelled as a result. Also home warranty companies choose the service provider for you and I haven't been impressed with some of them. My advice to anyone paying a home warranty company every month would be to take that $60 or more you pay every month to them and put it in a savings account for emergency's including home appliance repair. Also on top of the monthly payment when you need them there is a service fee to pay before they come out."

"Went amazing, Nick (highly recommend) came out to assess the situation on my 18 yr old (double drawer) dishwasher... he was careful not to break anything in the process, began trouble shooting parts, found out that likely due to heat and moisture of a dishwasher - the connector on one of the controller boards seems to not making good enough contact. He cleaned the connectors on both drawers before reassembly, and I had two fully working 18 yr old drawers on the spot with no new parts needed. Nick was also helpful to recommend brands that were less likely to see repair after purchase, I wasn't sure if I'd go with Fisher & Paykel again in the future - but I've had so few problems, and even now at 18 yrs the machines are working like new... so with Nick's insightful inputs, I'll probably upgrade to the latest Fisher/Paykel double-drawer model when I get to that point. I'm an engineer by trade, so I already know many of the likely appliance trades - and Nick of Sterling Appliance did a great job... I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others, especially if you no idea about the appliances and need to trust the repair service. :) Nick did a wonderful job, explaining what his concerns were - and wasn't pushing a bunch of unnecessary alternatives... he was there to help me understand how to move forward."

"The work was done efficiently and correctly. They wanted a check for payment not a credit card. Also left no paperwork about the appliance or an invoice, Any work I have had done, there was always paperwork about the work and invoices left behind. In this day and age, repair companies accept credit cards. I have never had a company that didn't. I got no response when I questioned this with an email. Sorry, but I will not use them again."

"Overall experience was positive. The diagnosis was good and only required a $15 part that was able to install myself. My frig is working great. While my total cost for the repair was $80 which included the $35 diagnostic fee, the lowest other price quote was over $400. I am very pleased with this new type of appliance repair. "Great customer service fast initial response. Definite 4 star for the initial support. I had an issue with the repair a few weeks later and contacted them. He said he would get back to me and I didn't hear back from them again. That was a few weeks ago. I dropped a star rating for them not following up to closing the loop "
