"A large group of workers (maybe six or seven) showed-up as scheduled and promptly proceeded to remove doors, move furniture, and remove old carpet and carpet padding.  They then continued working to install the wood flooring.  The workers were clearly experienced and worked efficiently and did a superb job;  the new floor looks fantastic!  They reinstalled the doors, placed felt pads on bottoms of furniture and returned furniture to its original places, and generally cleaned up everything and hauled it all away in their trucks.  All in all, very professionally done.  One teeny tiny negative comment is that in order to pay by credit card i was advised that I would have to pay a 2 1/2 percent service charge.  Just seems to me that if a vendor must ask the consumer to pay the service charge, the vendor should not even offer the credit card option, or at least, advise the consumer up front of that option and its associated service charge requirement.  The price was probably in-line with current market pricing, but an additional 2 1/2 percent in order to pay the bill seemed unreasonable;  Just my opinion. <br />"

They suggested a few more for us to consider, then insisted that we take the samples home to judge them against the room conditions. The next day Mr. McNair came to our home to measure the rooms and set the installation appointment. The installers were punctual, courteous and professional. They removed the 20+ year old carpet (took it with them), cleaned the concrete floor (even added an enzyme solution to pet urine areas that had soaked into the floor), installed the new floor, and also added the shoe molding that we purchased. They moved furniture when necessary (we did most of it before they came). <br /> After the second room was complete, my wife noticed that a small amount of the floor glue was on the surface of the new floor. She called them to ask them how to clean it, but instead- within minutes- they were back to take care of the problem and to show her exactly what to do if the problem came back. <br /> If you want a flooring job done right the first time, you absolutely cannot go wrong with McNair. This is the second time we have used them and, if we need more flooring in the future, we definitely will call them. <br />"
