"I can't believe how smoothly this repair went! Everyone at Falcone--the schedulers who arranged our estimate visit and the repair work, the foundation experts who repaired the porch, the finance people who explained the estimate and our final bill--every single one of them was helpful, prompt, courteous, and great at their jobs. The county inspector who reviewed the porch repair even made a point of telling us what high quality work the Falcone people had done for us! I would definitely call them again! If you're interested in our specific details, this repair was crucial to maintaining our house's structural integrity; since the screened-in porch is attached to the house, if it went down the hill, so would the back wall of the house! The foundation had cracked away from the main house and the slab was cracked and sliding apart at different angles. The men from Falcone excavated, cleaned, and prepped the job site, including washing the bottom section of the slab to promote bonding when the new concrete was poured. Then they poured a porch perimeter slab wall under the slab to stabilize the foundation. In addition, they installed a backer rod and applied concrete sealant to re-connect the porch foundation to house and prevent additional damage."

"We had a section of concrete slab in our walkway that had settled about 4 inches where it met the stairs to our front door. This was very visible and also caused water to puddle at that location. We were planning to stain and seal the walkway and driveway, but this situation had to be corrected before we could do that. This was a small project relative to what contractors who do this specialized work generally do.

Southeast Foundation Repair was one of three bids we got for the project. Their initial bid actually matched the highest bid we'd received at the point. They said, however, that if I could wait until Nov 16, they had another larger job in my area and they could "tag this on in the afternoon" and avoid some of the normal costs associated with travel to the job site and set up. They called me a few days before the scheduled date to reconfirm. They called again on the day of service to let me know when they would be arriving. They got here when they said they would and quickly got things set up and performed the work.

The raising and leveling of the concrete slab was done nicely and you cannot tell where the "settling" had been and they made sure that water would now drain away from the stairs. It looks great... and I subsequently had the concrete stained and sealed and you would never know there had been a problem.

Our home is around 50 years old. Ours was a large job - around a month and $30,000. We had Triangle Reconstruction come in after another moisture company provided mold remediation and a humidifier. I wish we’d contacted TR to start with. We provided TR with a structural engineering report. They created a plan to exactly meet all of engineer’s concerns. TR used temporary supports and replaced seal plates, girders, and joists for over half of our home. In addition, they poured footers and built new columns. They also added a few additional girders to firm up our floors. They removed and replaced our insulation. We bought the house in Fayetteville while my husband was stationed in Fort Bragg.  Moved to Ariziona due to PCS and had to rent the home in Fayetteville.  The last tenant we had caused damage to the home and left the place trashed.  I found David Hoskins through Angie's List and could not be happier with the job he performed and his professionalism.

Needless to say, it's very difficult to coordinate repairs from a different state not being able to see firsthand how things are being done.  David was a man of his word.  He always did what he say he would do.  He took photos of the items in disrepair as he provided a quote to fix them.  He then sent me photos of the completed repair.  I have to say that David was far more thorough than the property manager in charge of our home in Fayetteville. 

When the time to finish the job came, I needed the home to be move in ready for the next tenant.  I had planned to hire a maid service to clean the place.  David was able to make arrangements to have the home cleaned and get it move-in ready.

The job was completed at the amount quoted by David and within the time frame he had given me.  He was always there when I needed to check on the job or had any questions.  His suggestions were also very valuable to me.  He is a landlord himself and had very good input regarding materials that would be worth the money and that would last.

I definitely plan to have David do more work for me and recommended him to our property manager as well.

"Eveything was done in a timely matter. Workers arrived early on 8-17-12 and worked pretty much non-stop (took breaks) in order to get in all done the same day even through it was very hot. Did great job with clean up. Also removed large satellite dish and hauled away. (no charge). Also trimmed a tree without being asked THANKS. Need more home repairs done and plan to give them first shot.
