Your technician was very professional and explained exactly what he was doing each step of the process. Because of the extreme age of the HVAC unit, 25 years old, and the fact that virtually every part had been replaced, we expect that your technician reported that the unit should be replaced. The specifics of the issues are the following: 1. The unit is 25 years old. 2. The condensation coil is rusted and leaking. In fact, your technician had to add a pound of R-22 freon to the unit one week after the unit had been fully charged 7 days earlier. 3. Your technician had to vaccum out the rusted condensation pan even though 7 days earlier the pan had also been vaccumed out. Your response to what your technician and the one we had to hire to make our home livable advised about replacing the unit, will have a direct effect on how we view Choices Home Warranty as a reliable source of home protection. We have a second claim dealing with electrical issues pending and your technician is coming August 15. We will advise how that goes."
