"While the start date of getting a new roof put on slid due to weather, the G&G crew started the roof tear-off on time. They were very thorough about what needed to be repaired. I met with the project manager, Jimmy O., onsite and he explained all that needed to be done and the associated costs. The crew had the roof dried in on day 1. The shingles were delivered in the afternoon on day 2 and the crew finished installing the shingles on day 3. "From start to finish, Wiedmann Roofing did an amazing job of replacing a new roof on our home. If you're looking for the best engineered roof, most efficient service and fairest affordable price, this is the place to go. While replacing our soffits and fascia (different project), the contractors discovered that there was a significant amount of deterioration in some of the roof frame, which would have to be replaced before they could complete the job. To help us through this unexpected emergency, the folks at Gutters Unlimited (equally amazing!) contacted Wiedmann to see if they could get a crew out to give us an estimate for the repair. Joe B contacted us and came out to inspect the damage and discovered that there were a number of other problems with the existing roof that should also be addressed (e.g. no metal channels in the roof valleys). He gave us an estimate for the repair as well as an estimate for a complete replacement. The cost of a new roof was about four times the cost of a repair, so we decided to get a new roof. Joe B gave me a detailed scope of work that showed exactly what I would be getting, including Tamko Titan 160 mph Shingles (39 squares), new drip edges, new goosenecks and ventilation stacks, peel and stick underlayment, replacement fascia wood and plywood, and of new valley metal--all top-of-the-line stuff. He was able to schedule the start date within two weeks of contract signing. Work began right on time and was done quickly and professionally in about three days. There was a fair amount of wear and tear to a lot of the underlying plywood, which requited replacing, but this did not slow down the installation crew at all. Daily clean up was meticulous. The bottom line is that Wiedmann stepped up to help us out of a jam, came through with a superlatively-engineered solution and gave us a remarkably fair price (significantly less than all of the estimates that we had received from some other roofers). During the entire process, communication was effortless. I ask a lot of annoying questions and they answered all of them patiently and clearly. Joe A was a fountain of information on design and installation and Emily offered tremendous assistance in dealing with permits and inspections. "My experience with Universal Roofing & Construction Group was very good. They are very nice people to work with. The owner and his son were on to the job quite often and whenever we pointed out a concern or a problem with their workers, they corrected it. We had few little issues regarding them covering some rotten wood, which was discovered. They came back immediately, supervised here while the job was going on, called the guys who did and corrected it. They not only placed the roof but they also did some new reconstruction and redesigned two low parts or sections of the roof. I will recommend them and tell everyone that this is one company they can use. My husband went there quite often and he just felt they were very attentive. We also had a subcontractor doing some other stuff for us and he kept an eye open too, since my husband couldn't be there during the project. There were some subcontractors who were not always here when they said they going to be. I hope we won't be using them again but if required I will use them again in the future."
