"Of all the contractors I have worked with, Damien of South Shore Excavation is by far the best contractor I have ever worked with. As you can imagine, the removal of Invasive Bamboo is not an easy task and most landscapers/contractors (I had 3 refuse to do the work) would not touch it, or provide an astronomical quote preventing any possibility to proceed. This was not the case w/ Damien of South Shore Excavation. He came in, assessed the project as a whole and provided an honest attainable quote to proceed. He was on site and stayed until the project was completed above satisfaction. His attention to detail and commitment was as if it was his own property. The re-grading and lawn preparation was meticulous as was the bringing in of clean loam with a compost mix. I would recommend South Shore Excavation to anyone."

"Hired this two-man company (Chris and Craig) to redo a dirt driveway. Chris is the company's owner whereas Craig is the employee who does most of the labor. They quoted me a good price and I accepted the job. The following week the crushed stone was delivered and Craig came with the bobcat to spread the stone dust. This was done over the course of a day. Craig is a very good and hard worker, and does a very thorough job. I did not fully enjoy the end result and Chris was happy to revisit the job to ensure it was done to my liking. He followed up with me very professionally and revisited the house to review and set up a date to come back. After some more crushed stone was delivered and with some hard work by Craig, the job was done and I was happy with the end result. Some caveats though: As far as grading goes, I wouldn't recommend this company as they do not have the tools/machines to perform an adequate job, but could be remedied if they had a flat bucket for the bobcat and maybe a bit more knowledge of grading. I would also like to recommend to Chris that the initial write up of the job contract be more fleshed out with the job details but this was my mistake for not getting that done before the job started. Overall: I am still happy with the end result. The personability that Craig had when working on the job and Chris' follow-ups for completing the job is what makes this company stand out above the rest."
