"I contacted Pat about the installation of an irrigation system for our home.  Even though it was late in the year, he assured me the job could be done well before winter.  The installation went very smooth with surprisingly little disruption to the lawn and Pat took the time to educate me regarding the system's functions and programming.  Of note, I thought his original estimate was very reasonable, but he spontaneously lowered the price by 25%, stating that he overestimated the number of zones I needed.  He performed winter maintenance and spring setup this year as part of the installation package and has been very responsive the few times I've had to contact him.  I couldn't be happier with his work. <br />"

"Hired Molebusters in 2018. Our residential /suburban lawn was being destroyed by these rodents. I felt the fee was pricey, but... after trying several things on my own: the buzzers in the lawn, homemade potions (think: hot pepper flakes / Tabasco sauce) and 'natural' = urine approaches... all which were UNSATISFACTORY.... I saw progress with the Molebusters service. -- For 2019 I tried to imitate their service on my own: traps and bait and topical deterrents. That was a complete BUST - a waste of my time and money. -- 2020, I signed up EARLY. Still paid over $500, but... the results, so far this year are promising! I already pay for fertilization and cutting/maintenance, so taking care of the moles was well worth it. -- I think their vans are a HOOT - there is a mole with a hard hat on top!!! -- Staff is professional and courteous! -- Leadership is communicative and responsive. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!"

"Paul was very professional and responsive in each interaction.  He came out to our property the week prior to provide an estimate on some tree work.  While he was here, I asked him to provide a guess as to how much our wood our (new to us) wood shelter would hold.  His tree estimate was a fair price, but we are not ready to move forward at this time.  We did, however, request the wood delivery.  Two men came out to dump the wood, they were polite and did a nice job dropping the wood in front of it's intended shelter without damaging the structure.  They did run over some landscaping, at the edge of the driveway but it'd be easy to do in a dump truck.  The area was already a bit damaged from a prior incident, so we aren't worried.  The wood they delivered is a bit longer than our (new to us) stove can hold, it turns out so we probably won't order from them again.  We will, however, use their services when we are ready for our trees to be trimmed. <br />"

"The driver gave me a couple of hints about getting any stains out of the driveway....but it never rained and there were no stains.  We started on it Friday and with the help of a couple of friends had it spread by Saturday late afternoon.  I will be going back to the Aurelius location for some brick landscaping work.  Friendly and helpful from Day 1 - until the driver was driving away."

"Had Scott's Lawn Care and a beautiful lawn, company sold to try-green and things started to go down hill. Lawn just didn't look quite as good, but stayed with them. Last year we notified them of a 3 ft square brown patch. Two technicians looked at it and said they would note problem. No response, then patch continued to grow. Always a different technician each application. Two different specialist/supervisors came out said we see problem, will have it taken care of within 48 hours. Needs to be reversed, grub protection, grubs are the problem. We will reseed in the fall and make you happy. Fast forward to fall, told it is too late to seed, we'll take care of it when services resume in spring. Spot has grown from 3 ft sq to more than 200 sq feet. They talk a good game, but there is NEVER follow through and no ownership of what they have done. Our beautiful Scott's Lawn is gone, and we are stuck with Tru Green's botched service. Talked with neighbor adjacent, he now does his own and has dropped Tru Green."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Cohoctah, MI

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
