"I never write reviews because it's so rare to come across a business that is worth the time and effort. But Javier and his team at DMV Kitchen and Bath are the exception. I could not be happier with the work they did. They built a new laundry room onto the back of our house and it's exactly what we wanted. Apart from holidays, they were at our house Mondays through Saturdays working on our project. They did not stop until the project was done. We really felt like they prioritized our project the whole time. They are also super friendly, responsive, and communicative. And every time something unexpected came up, they immediately addressed it. They even fixed a leaking gutter on the back of our house because it was dripping and freezing on a new staircase they built. Their estimate came in a little higher than other estimates we got, but the quality of their work and the attention they give to your project is SO worth it. Highly recommended!"

Ben and Teddy from Top Remodeling sat with us and came up with a better layout without changing the size of the home. They moved the hallway, opened the living area, and added a custom touch in almost every room. They rebuilt the inside from the studs and used solid-core doors and clean finishes. We went with soft white walls, bronze handles, and natural maple cabinets. Now, it all feels open and calm. Every room has a purpose."

"Project Management Issues & Pending Renovation Work. I 100% agree with one of the previous reviews and, unfortunately, am experiencing the same issues that have caused unnecessary delays and frustration. While the quality of work itself is good, the project management leaves much to be desired. My bathroom renovation started on December 1st, 2025, with a promised completion time of two weeks. It has now been almost a month, and the project is still not finished. I would admit that I am responsible for one week delay in replacing a bathtub. Throughout this process, I have received little to no communication ? no daily updates and not even consistent weekly updates ? regarding the timeline or the scope of work being completed. This lack of communication from the project manager, Orkhan, has caused unnecessary delays and frustration. Coordinating with both the crew and management has been extremely difficult, and the project manager?s attitude has at times been rude and unprofessional. "

"I don’t think I can possibly say enough about the professionalism of Ryan and his crew. From the overall design, the electricians, the plumbers, and the painters. Everyone was delightful. I have never had this type of experience with a construction project before. My wife and I are thoroughly delighted with the outcome. it has been over a month now and we still get excited every time we just walk into the bathroom. The lighting is spectacular. Everything came out even better than we imagined. I highly recommend Ryan and his crew for any construction project that you may be investigating. "Jose and his team were great. They came in with the lowest cost for the conversion of our garage to an ADU and did a great job. It took them a while to get started but once they did the pace was quick and we are very happy with the final product. Due to unforeseen complications having to do with our plumbing the final cost was a bit over budget but the communication about it was good. I priced three other contractors and I am glad I went with J.A.K.E. Renovations."

The contractor has stopped responding to our emails and calls and has made it clear they are not willing to correct the defects. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I intend to pursue legal action to recover my damages. In addition, I will file a formal complaint with the Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC)."
