"I initially hired Airtight Construction to replace my roof around August of 2020. Once airtight construction started working on the roof they informed me it was going to cost more. I was never given an estimate or a contract for the additional work. To date still no bill, though they ask for money continuously. While we are waiting for a roof inspection they started a kitchen remodel around sept. 2020. They removed my kitchen cabinets, replaced a few windows and did some electrical work. I began to worry about the work being done and called the city of Martinez for an inspection. They said some of the work Airtight Construction had done needed to be fixed. Things like Electrical Panel, the windows all needed to be removed because there was no sheeting. There are structural questions about how some of the beams they installed are going to be supported.. I now know no permits were pulled for the kitchen remodel,. though I asked for permits several times. I am now having to spend more money to hire new contractors to complete the job."

Promises were not kept and it ended up taking almost a week longer than intended. Precautions were not taken to protect property from unexpected rain. "The team from Titanium Roof Innovations company recently did a great job preparing our roof for installation of solar panels. The work included removing existing tiles and underlayment from the roof, doing necessary prep work like replacing damaged plywood, installing new metal valley flashing at all roof connections and T-tops and vent caps on all exhaust pipes, and applying water-resistant mastic in all valleys. They installed peel-and-stick underlayment designed for tile roofing which provides advanced water barrier before placing back the tiles. Finally, they painted all flashings and vents with Rust-Oleum to match the roof color and cleaned the roof with a power washer. They left the working area in a neat clean state removing all debris. The team manager, Julian Mattos, was very efficient and responsive to our requests. "Our experience is identical to what other reviewers shared. And yes, you should run from this company as fast as you can. Do not buy what Abraham shared that the payment must be made when the inspection is passed. Check the Business and Professions code yourself, the payment only needs to be made when the job is completed. It is very COMMON that the job is not even done or poorly performed even the inspection is passed. Here are the issues that multiple families including us run into with this company:: The project was delayed for over 9 months. No one manages the job. He often employs young men from his own Jewish community. They are enthusiastic but had no prior experience. The worse part is that they don't get paid. Two of them even set up a new construction business knowing Abraham will never pay them. Subcontractors can put your house on lien also. Many reviews you see on Yelp, Google, Angi are NOT genuine. Even the references are fake with hindsight, we were given 2 references. One reference shared the exact same accent as the PM. The other reference was initially happy with their work, but then reached out to us and shared a similar horror story with them like what we experienced. You will lose a lot of $$$ on materials as the subcontractors will somehow leave a thousand dollars worth of quartz at home. Maybe they want to compensate for the money Abraham owed them? Let me tell you, reordering materials is not fun."
