"We loved working with Joe and the team. They were reasonably priced, responsive to calls and questions, showed up on time, worked hard, cleaned up as they went and were pleasant to have around. They took a lot of worry out of the process. We would definitely work with them again and recommend them to others. "

"Not the best experience. Actually a horrible experience. If you’re looking to do something high end, these are not the people for you. They were all about cutting corners and used subcontractors who kept doing things wrong and had to be redone multiple times. Ed is a a good guy but Rodney is all about the money and how he can charge extra for anything even for the things that were done wrong by his team and needed to be redone. I would advise to go over everything at the time of building the quote, and I mean every single detail even the things that you would think they are obvious minimal like light switches and outlets because that’s where all the extra charges come. We had a big project and no project manager. Rodney and Ed had no idea what’s happening most of the time. Some days one guy will show up and get nothing done and other days no one shows up with no heads up at all. When I called Rodney he’ll come up with some excuse. Our life was very impacted by the way this project was ran, as we couldn’t use our downstairs for almost 4 months (we did a kitchen and a laundry area). They installed our dishwasher wrong which caused a leak damaging the wood floors, when they came back to redo the floor they damaged the bran new dishwasher trying to shove it into place. We had no dishwasher for months waiting for repair only to learn that the dishwasher was completely damaged and needed replacement. Rodney was very defensive about it and finally said we could replace it using some money we were holding until the final walk through. Btw, the final walk through was never done. NOW, it’s 10 months later from the time we started this project. Our wood floor has lifted in multiple areas and has become unsafe to walk over, this happened about 2 months after they finished, we have reached out to ED and Rodney so many times about it, most of the time they don’t respond and the times they do they promise a follow up call and never call. Painting dragged into the 6th month but at that point we were already using our kitchen. Also we haven’t been able to use our pot fillet because it’s hooked up to hot water and it’s always cloudy, they said they were gonna fix it but at this point I don’t think they will. This project as been a nightmare. We used our life savings to build our dream kitchen and our experience has been awful. At this point, I honestly don’t know what to do. My husband and I are pretty busy to seek the legal route but I think we will have to."

FAQs for addition to existing structure building service projects in Conestoga, PA

You can typically raise your roof by four to eight feet, depending on your home's structure and roof design. The exact amount depends on factors like roof slope and framing support. Raising the roof creates additional interior space, enhances natural light, and increases your home's value. Consult a professional to determine the feasible height increase for your home.

Yes, you need a building permit to raise your roof. Obtaining a building permit ensures your project complies with local building codes and safety regulations. A professional contractor can assist with the permit and inspection process and ensure all legal and safety requirements are met. Your contractor will be familiar with building codes in your area, which can differ between cities or states.

While it's possible to raise a flat roof, it requires extensive structural modifications. Flat roofs lack the attic space and support structures of pitched roofs, so raising them involves significant engineering to ensure safety and durability. This process can be complex and costly, so professional assessment is essential before undertaking a project of this magnitude.
