"I had a new roof installed in 2021. The job went smoothly; but I got a leak in the bathroom shortly after. Highlander did not respond to me until I contacted Home Advisor. Once again in 2023, I have a leak in another bathroom and once again Highlander does not respond to my contacting them. Poor customer service after the job is complete."

Customers say: Quality work

"JD replaced the roof on my townhome in Braselton, GA. I live in Houston, TX and manage my own rental property. He started the job at 6 am and sent drone shots of the completed work by 10:30 EST. I was amazed. He also sent pics as the work was being completed. He is first class and stays in direct contact with customer so there is now miscommunication. We paid him 1/2 upfront and the remainder the day of completion. This was a small job for him and I'm grateful he took it on for us. Living two day drive away, it is reassuring that we have someone as reputable and upstanding as JD Roofing LLC. THANK YOU!!!"

"I am horrified. They must have sent the F crew to install the roof. First of all I arrived home to find teenager girls doing the job. Next there were beat up cars parked in the driveway with cardboard underneath engines to prevent oil stains. I appreciate that, but the cars that didn?t have a cardboard left oil stains all over the driveway. Next the cleanup was horrible. They left debris everywhere. My husband stayed up all night sweeping and removing debris and excess material. They left debris and supply inside the garage. I was not able to park my car there after they left. The job itself is poor. It looks like they got a crew of people from Home Depot that have never installed a roof before. Not only that, but they quoted us a price which was acceptable and agreed upon, but after they ripped everything off the roof they came back and told us it would to be double the agreed price. I?m just shaking my head. I can?t believe it. What a mess."

FAQs for asphalt shingle roofing repair projects in Conroe, TX

Asphalt shingles last 15 to 30 years, although premium products can reach the 50-year mark. The actual lifespan hinges on climate, material quality, proper installation, ventilation, and consistent maintenance. Scheduling annual inspections, replacing damaged shingles promptly, and keeping gutters clear all extend service life and help your roof protect the rest of the house.

Repairing your asphalt shingles preserves the integrity of your roof by addressing minor, localized damage. In cases where damage is confined, applying roofing sealant beneath and over the affected area restores performance and prevents further issues. Maintaining these repairs upholds durability and forestalls deterioration. When damage is extensive or persistent, full roof replacement becomes necessary. A professional inspection confirms the ideal course of action.

Replacing individual shingles is a valid solution when only isolated sections of the roof are damaged. Asphalt shingles, as well as wooden shakes, slate, or clay roofing tiles, are engineered for individual replacement, which can be achieved by applying roofing sealant beneath and over the damaged section to restore functionality. When damage extends over a larger area or many shingles are compromised, complete roof replacement becomes necessary. A professional roofer will assess the situation and confirm the optimal repair method.
