"Kyle discussed the project with my wife & I, taking notes and measurements about what we wanted. We were replacing a 13-year old split rail/hog wire fence with a black aluminum one. His crew came out on time and quickly got to work. Removing the old cemented wooden posts was the hardest work but the crew persevered. The fence went up in one work day. The gates were being shipped from a warehouse so the crew used some of the old hog wire to fashion barriers so our dogs could not escape if we let them out in the yard! They worked perfectly. Kyle and one crew member returned a few days later to install the fence gating on either side of the house. They even had to work around irrigation lines in the back yard and downspout piping of gutter water. One pipe was dug up to remove one of the original concrete bases for the old fence gate. It was skillfully replaced to the extent that we did not notice it until it was pointed out! We are so pleased with the crew, the way they worked together and removed the old split rails and hog wire by truck. Their cleanup was extremely well done and the look of the new black aluminum fence will add value to our property, along with a neater appearance! Thanks, Southland, for the new look to our yard!"

Customers say: Quality work

"We recently had an aluminum fence installed around our pool with 3 gates, and we could not be happier with the experience. The crew was professional, on time, and paid close attention to detail. The fence looks amazing, feels very sturdy, and completely elevated the look of our backyard oasis. The gates open and close perfectly, and the entire process was smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend!"

"I met this young professional at Lowes Home Imrovement while waiting for a customer service representative from Lowes to come and answer questions about fencing that my wife and I had about a backyard fence project that we were going to be buying and installing in Our new home that we had purchased. While waiting for the Lowes rep ( which came finally after 3 requests at customer service counter ð ¤ ) My wife and I were greeted by a very nice young gentleman who also was buying fencing at the store. Seeing Our frustration and disbelief in such poor customer service that Lowes has nowadays the young gentleman named Mr. Martinez offered his assistance to Us. He even apologized for Lowes (offering us different reasons ; but mainly due to Covid why we couldn't get any help , and this man doesn't even work there) lack of help or customer service. Mr. Martinez who was also waiting for a Lowes Rep was kind enough to offer My wife and I his knowledge about fence options while we stood there waiting in agony for a Lowes Rep to arrive and assist Us. We haven't ever attempted a fence project before so naturally we had questions before purchasing. Finally a Rep arrived who upon greeting Us immediately told Us they didn't usually work in fencing and didn't know anything about it said he would get us somebody that could. They went and got a manager who arrived and again said they were unfamiliar with fencing but greeted Mr. Martinez by name and asked if he got what he needed yet and turned to us and said this guy can answer your questions he's a pro and then turned to Mr. Martinez and said can you answer these people's questions and I will go see where your order is. The Lowes manager didn't even wait for an answer from Mr. Martinez , and turned back to us and said Fence Pros is here on a daily basis buying products , He owns a local fencing company. So here we were waiting for help from a Lowes Rep , beside a guy that was also waiting for help and when help arrived the help said this guy is the pro - ask him. Well We certainly are glad that we did! Not only did he answer Our questions, but We hired and contracted with Mr. Martinez's company; Fence Pro's. For 3 different home fence projects. First our backyard, then our front yard , and then a privacy fence around our jacuzzi. Our neighbors after seeing how nice our fence looked asked for a business card of Fence Pro's and next thing you know I see Mr. Martinez doing their fence. A week later I see the Fence Pro vehicle at another home down the street. They got a fence.. Then the week after that I start seeing Mr. Martinez's Fence Pro vehicle almost on a weekly basis somewhere in Our neighborhood and fences going up at new homes all over Our housing development. Yesterday Mr. Martinez stopped by Our home with a Thank You card and a beautiful hanging fern for our porch. He said this was a gift from Fence Pro's because he now has sold and installed fencing in 5 other houses here in the neighborhood and had contracts to due several more and he just wanted to Thank Us for referring Him and his company. My wife and I are very happy with different fence projects done by Fence Pro's and cantbsay enough good things about Fence Pro's. Everyrhing the promised they delivered on. The quality of their work is second to none. From their first promised expected arrival time to job completed, we give them a 5 Star reveiw. Quality, professionalism, integrity, appearance, and affordability and even follow up customer care have all been better than we really expected. So if Your looking into fencing consider Fence Pro's, we did and you will be glad you did too."

"We had a new in ground pool installed. Existing fence did not meet code guidelines. A compliant design was designed interactively on site. Selection of materials confirmed in their store. It took several weeks to get materials which were ordered. Installation required coring holes into a concrete slab in some places. The work crew did a great job and was friendly and courteous. When the fence did not pass initial inspection (there was more than 2" under the fence in some areas, though why this needs to be this low since the other spaces allowed are 4" no one can explain)) Goode met with code inspector and then came back and lowered the fence. We are pleased with the end result.

FAQs for wrought iron fence installation projects in Conway, SC

Galvanizing is the best way to keep rain from eating away at your wrought iron fence. The process coats each bar in a thin layer of zinc, sealing out moisture and blocking rust. Most panels come pre-galvanized, but you’ll still want to wash and repaint every few years to keep that shield intact.

Skipping galvanization may save a few dollars up front, yet you’ll spend far more later repairing corrosion or replacing sections outright.

Expect to pay more for wrought iron than for wood at the outset, but iron wins the long game. A standard wood fence runs $1,700 to $3,900, yet you’ll sand, stain, and eventually replace it. Wrought iron may double that initial tab, but it can last 50 to 100 years with a quick paint job every few seasons. Factor in fewer repairs and less upkeep, and iron often edges out wood on lifetime cost.

Hiring a pro to paint wrought iron runs $8 to $10 per linear foot, a price that covers careful prep, rust removal, and high-grade paint for long-term protection. DIY-ers can trim that labor bill, but you’ll need quality brushes, rust-inhibiting primer, and time to apply multiple thin coats. Skimp on prep or materials, and the finish will peel sooner, forcing you back to square one.

A well-maintained wrought iron fence easily lasts 50 to 100 years. Plan to wash it annually and sand-and-repaint every two to three years to keep rust from gaining a foothold. If you spot flakes or pitting early, touch-up paint stops corrosion in its tracks. When in doubt, a local fence pro can walk you through a maintenance schedule tailored to your climate.

Homeowners choose wrought iron fencing because it delivers exceptional security and a timeless aesthetic. This fence offers robust protection that deters intruders while providing a classic look that elevates property curb appeal.

Its construction from high-grade materials ensures lasting durability and reduces maintenance needs. The design also enhances home value and offers consistent strength and elegance.

Wrought iron fencing is available exclusively through certified local fence installation companies and reputable specialized suppliers. This source guarantees high-quality materials and professional installation that adhere to strict performance standards.

Homeowners will find that these trusted providers deliver materials backed by quality control and expert support, ensuring an investment that meets both durability and aesthetic expectations.
