Of course, I had more gutters to clean then the discounted price allowed--not surprised, a lot of Angie's vendors do this, so I ended up paying an extra $100.

That being said, the work was professional, thorough, and was impressed with the finished product.  Kris was the person who performed the work and he communicated, was knowlegdable, and went the extra mile to assure that the gutters were cleaned.  He gives the company a good reputation and I appreciated his customer service.

"We hired Aaron to fixed a door that we had installed ourselves but did not properly hang so the door scraped the bottom and often had screws falling out of the hinges. Aaron was super professional and narrowed down the issue with our door's alignment immediately. He fixed the door and it works so much better now. We should have hired him sooner! Great work! "Castle called to set up measurements for window manufacture. Their rep showed up on time and was a relatively quick procedure to measure. They called again once windows were ready to install, to set up installation date. Superb job performed by the removal/install team. They called the day before their arrival and then again the morning of arrival. Went straight to work and were productive from start to finish. I had two sets of double windows replaced with double slider windows and you cannot tell the new windows frames are different from what was originally installed. Thoroughly cleaned the work area, to my satisfaction, when they were done. The only problem was they provided only half screens instead of full screens for the double sliders, however they rectified this when informed."

"Several shingles were damaged during a recent storm. While I was outside talking to a neighbor, Mr Sweitzer approached me about the shingles. I have never hired a contractor without first checking Angie's List but I decided to this time because of Mr. Sweitzer's professional demeanor. He thoroughly explained the process of replacing the shingles and pipe collars and answered all of my questions. There was no pressure for an immediate decision. I thought the price was outstanding! He does not sub-contract out his work so his price is better compared to others who sub-contract their work. We set a date and time for the work to be done. Mr. Sweitzer and his crew showed up on time. Naturally, I didn't go up on the roof to check the replaced shingles but I feel very confident the work was professionally performed as I expected. Lastly, there were no additional unexpected costs.

I plan to contact Mr. Sweitzer in the near future for additional work I need done at my home.

"We interviewed six vendors to receive estimates and explore various products and installation options.  The price estimates of our top three were fairly close.  We chose American Siding in-part because it is a local small business, but also because of the product line and workmanship techniques described  The project was delayed about a month from the target start date due to prior job sire requesting additional work not included in their original contract.  Our project included high end vinyl siding with foam backing and we had over 30 windows on the house and shed.  Paul worked with us to use lower grade siding and windows on the shed to help keep costs down.  His crew of Jonathan and Dave were professional and friendly, very hard workers.  We had frequent discussions to be kept up to speed on the work being and the progress of the job.  A separate crew did the roof which took only two days, although the second day ended at about 8:30.  The overall job took about five weeks.  A great deal of attention to detail was paid to the installation process.  The siding was applied on top of the existing siding.  A lot of time was spent on building out the windows so they would not be recessed.  Many other details that are not seen were attended to that I believe some other companies would skip.  Our original contract was for 40K but we had an additional $700 overrun.  This was for the replacement of a large amount of rotten wood beyond the amount agreed to upfront.  We have had several compliments from our neighbors and are delighted with the appearance.  We have several improvements immediately.  The house is quieter, the temperature throughout the house is much more even and the ac runs less often.  Even when you go from downstairs to upstairs the temperature is constant and it no longer feels as stuffy upstairs.  This is in part due to the venting in the roof.  All in all we highly recommend considering American Siding Inc."

"After a ridiculous estimate from a prior contractor, whom I fired, I called G&G and another local company.  Both came out for estimates as scheduled.  G&Gs estimate was a hair higher, but I felt more comfortable with them than the other company.
Amanda was easily reachable and everything was easily scheduled around my personal schedule.
The crew arrived early the day of the job and promptly began to work.  They didn't mind at all that I watched, as I wanted to see the damaged plywood they'd be removing.  The main roof was completed in a day.  The sunroof roof and gutters were completed the next day.  Due to weather, the shutters were installed on the third day.  A few bits and pieces of the sunroof work were left behind, but nothing to complain about.
Although the other estimate for the main roof was a tad higher than the other company, the sunroom roof and gutter prices easily made up for it.  They also sent out a guy to pressure wash the house after the work was complete....fabulous!!!
I look forward to working with them again on further projects...and highly recommend them to other Angie's List members.
