"Exceeded my expectations!!! I had the carpet removed from my dining room, hall way and greatroom and replaced with hardwood. In addition i had new ceramic tile insralled in the guest bath and replaced the carpet in the guest room. The installers Matt and Mike did an incredible job. It was a large job which took 4 days. The installers were on time each day and respectful of my home. Their attention to detail was spot on. I am EXTREMLEY pleased with the quality of their work along with their pricing. The installers exceeded my expectations and i would highly recomend Korfhage Flooring!!"

"They cleaned my entire first floor where there was carpet.  I have hardwood in kitchen and foyer. <br /> They did a pretty good job - about the same as other companies I've use, such as Coit. <br />"

"At the store things were fine. They had the product I'd been reading about in May looks/finishes & were happy to have me borrow their samples. I didn't know this initially but, apparently, the estimator was way off on his days to completion estimate. Once the main installer arrived & pulled up the old carpet, he could tell there was a lot of leveling and repair work that was needed on the subfloor. He said it was going to take a lot longer but I was ok with that. I'll give the main installer credit, he worked hard and well. He did an amazing job cutting the ends of the planks to fit the uneven edges of my stone hearth. The problem was he couldn't stay on site to finish the job. Besides my house, already had one ongoing project and a new one about to start. So, I got the B team. There were two guys left to finish my floors. One seemed ok but the other one was completely green. He admitted he was usually on the selling side of things & had just started laying floors. That was obvious when he grabbed planks to lay down. It's vinyl so the patterns repeat. You have to mix up the boxes and patterns so it looks more natural. He was just grabbing the next plank out of the same box. I mentioned this to him twice and thought he understood. But as I was working from home in my upstairs office I couldn't watch every plank go down. There are now three areas that have matching/identical planks lying right next to each other. By the time I'd come down & caught the problems, another 49 sf had been laid. Neither of the two gentleman knew quite what to do with my quarter round/baseboard. In some spots they took it al the way to the doorways & in other spots they stopped at the door baseboard. Thankfully, the seasoned installer stopped by and fixed that. With time and furniture placement, I barely notice the problem areas. My fear is that if/when we go to sell the house those problems will stick out like a sore thumb. I already know there's no ROI with vinyl (it's strictly convenience for our way of living) but I don't want it to be a liability because of a bad install."

"We have 2 Pomeranian's and 2 young children that dirty our carpeted living rm and small hallway.  I personally cleaned these myself but with pet stains, it requires a professional suction vac to draw the stain from deep within the area.  All other bought or rented vacs can't do this, so I am left with carpet professionals, which is fine by me....I used Michael's carpet cleaners because of their Angie's List reviews.  I use them roughly once every 6 months.  However, 3 cleanings ago I had a young man come to my door to clean my carpet and he said he bought the company from Michael.  OK...Well... the carpet needs cleaned...He has now cleaned our carpets 3 times and every time we are disappointed..Remember with Michael it was 6 months between cleanings...Now, this new owner leaves and by the time the carpets are-DRY-they are still dirty and we are left with stain lines spanning the length of the rooms.  The last time we used him he was obviously in a hurry and upon striking up a conversation I found out that he had another appointment, but a bigger $$$ client that was 20 minutes from my appointment.  The $$$ clients location was 15 minutes away....My wife and I were not happy...He will not be back to our home. <br />"

"The consultation in the store with the Design Consultant, the measurement process and installation went great. The installers and plumbers involved with the project were all prompt and courteous, and the counters and sink looked great afterwards. I would definitely recommend this Home Depot to others and will use them for other projects as well. <br />"

"When Clyde and Bill arrived at my home to restretch carpet, they got right to work. We reviewed the areas that needed to be restretched. Clyde gave me a quote of $175 and I agreed to the work. He was very gracious to accomodate the additional areas I asked him to restretch, and I added another $25 for his efforts. Clyde and Bill were extremely polite and professional; very knowledgeable about their job and pleasant to work with. They only took one break during the 4 hours, and were very good about cleaning up after themselves. All the ripples in the carpet wer eliminated, and I was thrilled that they cut away the dark dirt lines along the baseboards which have given the carpets a new lease on life. All in all, I would highly recommend these two ex-marines to anyone needing their carpets restretched. I would definitely use them again."

"John first came and helped me design the areas. Upon agreement of price, I put my order in and paid a deposit. A few weeks later the installations began. The installers were friendly, clean, and I was comfortable enough to leave them working in my home while I went to work. The bathrooms turned out beautiful. The tile were is perfect. The vanities-quartz tops are high quality. I receive endless compliments on my new bathrooms. My backsplash I LOVE!! I will return for more work to be done!"

"We had all the carpet and old wood floors removed from our first floor and replaced with beautiful Acacia engineered hardwood flooring. It looks even better than I had imagined. In 2 1/2 days they tore out all the old wood flooring and old carpet and installed the new floors. Very efficient team. We only wish we had done this sooner!! River City Flooring is the best. From initial sales call to installation everything went very smoothly. Highly recommend!"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Coxs Creek, KY

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
