"Very well....pun intended. FYI I rated price as a "B" but honestly, I think it could have been much worse. They spent some time troubleshooting and avoided pulling the well pump up...in my opinion a sign of true professionals. They could have made a **** of a lot more money off of me if they wanted. Additionally, Billy, the owner showed up part way through the job even though their office is a good 30 minutes away. Ended up the leak was a failed pvc joint out in the yard. They found it without digging using a very large "cake tester". A small, hand-dug hole, some new couplings and a bit of glue and we're back up and running. They also pumped up the well-tank bladder, swapped out some tired parts and installed an additional check valve while they were here. I heartily recommend them for well servicing."

"We purchased a foreclosed house with a well that operated but an aerator cut out of the system and a water softener placed on bypass. The crew came out and looked at the parts we had. It was decided we should replaced the water softener and buy a new pump for the aerator and that the old aerator could be used. They came back the next day with all the parts needed. Everything was organized and placed into a smaller area of the concrete pad. They even thought to raise parts up on blocks to extend life of pieces and allow us to pour concrete in the future without needing to move anything. They found our well to be extremely slow but stayed to get everything running for us. We will call them when we decide we need a new well. <br />"

"The men came back the next day to complete the repairs to our well pump. They surveyed again what the problem was and communicated with us the whole time. Upon our permission they would complete that repair. We found this company to be very professional and the men were very accommodating and personable. They were here for most of the day and upon finishing the job they came to let us know they were leaving and that everything they tested worked . <br /> This company will get our business again in the future. I especially liked the fact that they were so up front about everything, from the time and a half fees to getting our permission before fixing or replacing any part. <br />"

"The process was quick and easy. I just provided a water sample. It was determined that I had high levels of chlorine in our drinking water. I was able to solve my water problems with only one filter. Why did I wait years to have this done? Now I can be confident that our water is safe. Highly recommended."

"After waiting 4 months for a different company to come and dig a well, I called Mobley's Well and Pump Service, which a relative and some friends recommended. When I called and spoke to Billy Mobley (the owner) he said he could start drilling in a few hours and I had called at just the right time. Hallelujah! And sure enough in a few hours he and his drilling team were at my house starting to work. We had been connected to a neighbors well since we moved here and had always had city water before that, so we were clueless about wells. He and his staff are very polite and knowledgeable about wells and are willing to answer all kinds of stupid questions about wells and how they work. So, being the curious person that I am, I would go out and check to see what was going on at various stages and ask questions about it. They never once made me feel like I was bothering them with all my questions and always explained what was going on at that stage. The day after they started digging, Mr Mobley told me that I had called at a good time because he had already added several more wells to be dug. So you may not be as blessed as I was and have them out there the same day that you call to start digging, but they are well worth the wait. <br />"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Crawfordville, GA

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
