I was very leary at first, because we recently cleaned the carpets and were concerned and/or confused that mold could be in our basement. We certainly would have known if we had mold in our basement or water coming causing a mold situation. Needless to say no mold was found, and my worries were alleviated. Mr. Riddick is a seasoned inspector, with a deep knowledge all areas of home inspections. He was professional, kind, did a great job."

"John is clearly experienced and by the end of the 3.5 hr inspection he was sweating bullets! I come to appreciate the job of a home inspector because it's so physically demanding! <br /> John produced a report that shows all the big (roof leak!) and small issues (carpet too high, prevents door from closing correctly), but what really shocked us and I will be eternally grateful for, is he got our attention on the EIFS exterior right off the beginning! We had no clue this synthetic stucco existed and that it could cause serious moisture issue for the home. He scared us and it's a very good thing. We walked away from a rather pricy home knowing that the $577.00 I spent saved me from potential serious financial mistake! <br /> In the end we ordered what John recommended, a moisture inspection, but the sellers were very uncomfortable with the invasive test and we walked away from the deal. I am heartbroken, but I am grateful and so glad I found a good inspector because h*** I would be p***** 4 months after moving in that my home had moisture problem! <br /> John we are still looking for homes, and potentially looking for a brand new construction but everything I read online said a good home inspection is still just as important on a new home as it is for a old home.
