"Ivan is great to work with. He is personable and asks the right questions to make sure you will get the end product you want. He painted our entire exterior and made sure the trim details were exactly how I wanted. He also did a great job painting our kitchen cabinets. "

"I recently hired Mike to paint the exterior of my home, and I couldn?t be happier with the results. He was professional, punctual, and meticulous from start to finish. The prep work was thorough, the lines are clean, and the final result looks fantastic. He clearly takes pride in his work and left everything neat and tidy each day. I would absolutely hire him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for quality painting done right."

"Flex Painting went above and beyond on our rental home’s exterior painting project. They initially provided a fair and reasonable estimate, but as the project progressed, they identified dry rot, a broken window and sash, rotting stairs, and other structural issues. Instead of just painting over the problems, they handled the necessary repairs, replaced gutters, and even added gutter screens and downspouts—all while maintaining fluid communication with regular updates and photos. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to quality work were outstanding. We truly appreciate their honesty, expertise, and willingness to go the extra mile. Highly recommend Flex Painting for anyone looking for a reliable and skilled team!"

"Extremely professional and high quality work. Beginning with the review of work scope and comprehensive proposal through the execution and wrap up — good communication, documentation and most importantly excellence in quality at every phase of work. Daily work began on time (as allowed by HOA defined work hours) and always finished leaving the work area clean and orderly. It was a pleasure to work with such a pro!"

"Best Painter I have ever hired. I contacted Walt in early July. After meeting him, I had a good feeling about him. But I didn't want the job to be done until I was on break from work in October. He was no pressure, when ever I wanted it. Explained that I wanted to brighten up the room, the color I had was dark. He made some good suggestions that I went with. I was not disappointed. Great Customer service. Took pride in prepping the walls and baseboard. He was a clean painter very organized with a plan. He knew I would need a second coat on the walls, and he was 100% right. The work was done in 2 days. With his experience he made it look simple. I have several more paint jobs, and I will be hiring Walt. Thank you Walt."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Crockett, CA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
